Supporting OT students to develop communication skills

How can you support OT students to develop their communication skills?
If you host OT students during clinical placements, you may sometimes wonder what types of skills and behaviours you could be commenting on and how you can best support students who struggle with communication skills.
This short webinar will give you lots of practical examples of what communication skills look like, and for all the Aussie OTs, how we can evaluate students on their communication skills using the SPEF-R2.
I'll also share my tips for supporting students, including making sure you are including them in the process of identifying barriers and finding solutions.
REMEMBER: If your student is struggling during their placement, get in touch with the university ASAP - they will be able to provide general suggestions, plus those specific to the individual student.
