Too bad all of them just abandoned Ozzie, and left him there while they all moved to different places.. I wonder what happened to that little boy that befriended him
Would have loved to see her character in a straight jacket acting erratic and being told " Damnit Tory, leprechauns aren't real." Even sweeter if the staff told her (because she would be institutionalized) "Ozzy the Leprechaun is just a figment of your imagination" in a flashback or something . Mark is a wonderful actor. Kudos to the person playing this Leprechaun. They did a decent job for what was given and being after Warrick.
Michael Myers came back, Leprechaun came back, now we need The Djinn from Wishmaster to come back. Hire Astron 6 to do the practical gore effects and Andrew Divoff to reprise the role with the first two films as canon, plus a competent script writer and a composer who can give us a memorable score, and I would be happy.
@@EpicJasonX9000 Granted..snaps finger..now ur SHITTING out a bunch of coins lmao 🤣!!..Andrew totally nails that character on 1st 2 movies, never cared for the others..thats like replacing Angus Scrimm with some lanky old man that just don't do it justice!!✌🍻
@@steve-0493 same here. 3 & 4 are not genuine Wishmaster films. Hell, I don’t even think it’s the same exact Djinn since Andrew’s Djinn had a human name he went with: Nathaniel Demerest. Plus, he had an established set of rules that prevents people from using certain wishes against him. This, why he’s the Wish “Master”. The Djinn from 3 & 4 is not a master of anything. So, I’m down for a proper 3rd film which keeps 1 & 2 cannon and ignores the other 2 completely.
When Warwick DOES return to the role,.. they need to have it be with more than one Leprechaun, This portrayal of the character is so great and perfect it needs to be seen again, and Leprechauns crossing paths and going after gold in the gold rush era would be amazing.

Leprechaun Returns, loved this gory movie. The kills were awesome and even though Warwick Davis is not the Leprechaun in this movie. The actor who played him in this did an amazing job.
I feel like the only major failing of this film, was porco's performance at times dipping into being an impression of Warick's, but given the last film and the fact that this IS supposed to be the same Leprechaun it is understandable. I'd love to see him get some more films in the role, as an opportunity to expand the performance. And as other commenters have mentioned, it would be fun to see him opposite Warick's Leprechaun, should Warick return to the franchise.
Honestly it's a decent sequel, though I would've had Ozzy actually contribute more or atleast bring in a grown up Alex from the first movie and beg Warwick Davis to come back.
I agree, I think they did Ozzy dirty considering he had a 30 year absence from the franchise…. They could’ve done more with him, at least had him come back to like rescue the kids and then maybe get killed at that point kind like the shining or had him sacrifice his life for one of them or something
Honestly I love this Leprechaun. Linden Porco is a worthy replacement for Davis. If Davis does return to the franchise I’d love to see him and Porco both playing leprechauns together.
Honestly, I thought it was a legit good sequel to the original and by this point came back and embraced the campy tone once again that had actual funny comedy scenes. Sucks that Warwick didn't come back but that was because his son was too young, and Davis said he wouldn't play him again unless his son turns 18. Now that he is over 18, I think the time's right to bring back Leprechaun once again.
wait Warraks son is 18 now, maybe Warrak will retun for the next lep movie then, i know that they want to make another one after the success of Returns
They can make Leprechaun movies until the end of time because most of them are stand-alone you could do a direct sequel to this one and have a grown-up ALex seeking revenge for Ozzy dying and hunting the Leprechaun and just have Warwick back in the role. Most likely the next one will be another stand-alone movie though even if it stars Warwick again. Leprechaun in the old west or Leprechaun in Midevil times would be great or even Leprechaun vs another fairy tale creature or Leprechaun that actually takes place in Irland.
I gotta say, considering SyFy Channel's name was on this in the opening credits there, this is _LIGHTYEARS BETTER_ than anything else you associate with that garbage channel, lol. It still feels like the Leprechaun franchise has just... petered out a bit, but honestly getting back to "It's alright" is a *huge* step up from the damage Origins inflicted on the franchise. Good job, Leprechaun Returns!
Other than it being a different actor playing the Leprechaun. it's a pretty decent/good sequel compared to a few of the other movies. Especially that failed reboot. I am kind of sad Ozzie was the first to die since he was such a nice person.

I thought this was a really fun movie! You really gotta give the new actor credit for how spot-on his portayel of the Leprechaun was. If I didn't know he wasn't Warwick Davis, I would have just thought the prosthetic effects were different. He nailed the voice!
When did this come out?! I don't even remember hearing about this. Sad that Warwick isn't in this but I 100% understand why he's taking a break from Horror. But holy shit they actually got some returning actors!
Perfect timing, I'm watching " leprechaun returns " tonight, after "Re-animator" finishes, on the Legend channel, in the UK. So I'll be able to watch this review and film simultaneously, hopefully watching yet another Leprechaun sequel/reboot without Warwick Davis won't be so painful, if I'm distracted.👍
Yeah, Re-animator was on till 0:45, now it's finished, and I'm watching leprechaun returns now, it's better than the last leprechaun film that came before it, but this new leprechaun is extra terrible at delivering an Irish accent.Lol

This looks like a good try for a sequel. Better than what "Origins" was going for. While sad that more of the original actors could come back even for small parts, this was a good one.
Linden Porco did a good job filling Warwick Davis' shoes and I liked how they brought back poor Ozzie even if he died. It's a shame that Jennifer Aniston wouldn't accept the pay cut or social embarrassment from doing the movie.
Maybe to Ozzy THAT was nice, other than Alex and Kevin’s character, people probably weren’t too kind and understanding, so by comparison (to people other than his friends) Tori? Was a somewhat saint 🙏🏼

3:10 Don't be too sure, remember, Laurie Strode died between Halloween 2 and Halloween 4 but came back in a different timeline in Halloween "7" only to appear to be killed off in Halloween "8" (considering there was never a sequel to Halloween Resurrection and the fact that Laurie was stabbed in her lower back while having tree branches softening her fall and throughout the rest of that movie, no one ever says that Laurie in every bit of cannon footage has died, I debate that she lives, but even if I'm wrong, a new timeline has her living 18 years later) also Marion Chambers dies twice fallowing the first Halloween movie
We will get another Leprechaun eventually but it will probably be a stand-alone sequel again set in some random city or time period. Most likely they will probably get Warwick Davis back for the next one if they did a direct sequel to this one it would be the Leprechaun in a new location hunting down the last of his missing gold probably with another random actor from the first movie returning.
1:49 Why do I feel like Leprechaun in this timelime and WWE's Undertaker are the same person? considering WWF/E's 1998 Royal Rumble ends with Undertaker being locked in a casket that gets set on fire only for Undertaker to give a voice over as we get an overhead shot of the aftermath similar to how Leprechaun ends the first movie, and now this movie (ignoring the sequel timelines) has this scene that seems similar to Undertaker abducting Stephanie McMahon at the end of WWF Backlash 1999 (maybe a return homage, or just coincidence)

Fun fact: If u notice, the sorority house is labeled "AU"- gold on the periodic table.
Dude did a damn fine job in my opinion. No easy task to fill Warwick Davis' shoes
Time to clean his shoes.
