Great Track & contributions from all.. Lively, lovely, pure spirit of jazz... SAJB et al & Joan Chamorro & all the players.. whom I love and have watched bloom & blossom over the years... SALUD ❗🙏🏼
Joan Chamorro is pure genious as are the musicians he gathers around him. And what a lovely man he is. Had the priviege of meeting him again last week at Cafe Centrale in Madrid and actually meeting and talking to "Mr Magic Fingers" Ignasi Terraza. It might be worth moving to Barcelona from England to be able to hear and see his various ensembles on a regular basis! I have yet to hear Magic de la Veu! I keep trying!
I love to watch Joan's expressions when one of his colleagues or students surprises him during their solos. The sheer delight on his face is worth noting.
So Luigi Grasso is his name, the one I always think is as good as Charlie Parker. In an experimental new style, reborn from ancient times. My god, he can play! Thanks!
Excellent Joan I lived in. Newark N J and the city has the best Radio Jazz station F M 88.3 en USA And I lisent every day for 32 year this public radio and Joan Chamorro is a genius director with His band. Congratulations
Super performance - great solos but a pity Rita wasn't given a few bars. If you think you are hearing a piano in the mix you're not; it's Pasquale! He has such a command of his guitar, an amazing technique and incredible facility due to his ability to span so many frets. Fantastic!
It has been a while since I have heard this song. It was composed before I was born. Joan I must congralute you again. In addition to being a great multi instrumentalist you are a geat teacher. This song is older than most of the members of this group.
@@billpearce3850 Not a disagreement. This group is superb! I always enjoyed the sound of the bari sax in every group I played in. Hell, I enjoy the sounds of all the saxophones. I actually have a tenor sax. No, I can't play it. I can make noises with it. 😥
Great’ swinging ‘ version’ = Fab ‘ sounding group’ - I’m, trying to “remember, a famous American trumpet player & his outfit - from the 50s/60s era’ that your sound/ style , on this - reminds me of , Cheers .= p/s will let you know when I realise hoo it was / I’m old now , HA .
cameraderie. notice how rita offers vic her hand after his fabulous solo. love his playing and this whole tune is played to perfections. pretty much the only thing i could imagine better than this would have been to her Bird , Fats, Bud, and Max playing together. The Grasso brothers are insane!
Love that Rita shook Victor's hand after his solo. He deserved it! What a great group!
You could tell she was diggin’ it.

Youre lucky !
But they’ll always be an England!
My own thoughts exactly. I even share the consideration of moving to Barcelona.
On Lady Bird...What a impressive. display of talent starting with the trumpeter
And ending with the bass player. Neat guitar and tenor..new faces..All in all a great arrangement. Well done Chamorro!

Luigi is amazing!
Pasqual is soooooo good. I adore his rhythmic phrasing
Victor does a great trumpet solo. All contribute for a swinging rendition of this jazz tune. Way to go Joan.
THAT LOW HIGHFIVE VICTOR CARRASCOSA AND RITA PAYES,SAYS MILLION THINGS.AMAZING!!!!!👏👏👏

Victor Carrascosa's Trumpet and Luigi's Sax Solo were delightful. Of course a good of credit must go to Joan Chamorro for this wonderful piece.
Otra vez, gracias SAJB maestro Chamorro, Luigi e Pasquale
Great trumpet player
The Grasso Brothers! My gosh.

Joan, you have assembled yet another group of fine young musicians. This is an old Tadd Dameron composition. Congrats.

Super performance - cool
Per la miseria che pezzo emozionante!
Fortissimi! Strong!!! Meraviglia
Parabéns muito bom excelente bravo.
Muy bueno!! Felicitaciones! Saludos.
Tadd Dameron would have been proud
This reminds me of the Dave Pell arrangements from the sixties.
I must respectively disagree. Dave Pell, although good, never swung as hard as this band.

Real jazz! Good job 👍
This is rocking jazz....,
That's Pasquale Grasso !

Chet Baker perhaps?
Listen to Chet Baker's "Let's Get Lost" for a sample?
Tadd Dameron wrote Ladybird and Fats Navarro recorded a version (I think!). Maybe you’re thinking of Fats or Clifford Brown?
madjazzmike Shorty Rodgers? Shelley Mann? It does have a “West Coast” cool vibe to it.
Waouh !!! J'adore !!! me encanta !!!

Kudos!
Bravo!
Excelente
The drummer and ..is kickin them!
Oh man. They didn't let my "Dream Girl" Rita Payés play a solo dagnabbit! Beautiful number executed beautifully.
Wow!!!👏👏❤❤❤
The group is tight. Each member breathes at the same time.
I didn't know J.S Bach was such a good bass player 😊
Ha! Good One....

The Lead Alto is great
Hee haw ‼️
Grandioso!
BCN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bebop improvisation seems very hard!
The saxes remind me of Supersax.
To Be or not to Bop!
luigi killing it again but has anyone noticed the hot girl playing trombone?
Curly de niro con bass
