Ruger American ranch 16” Grendel in a magpul hunter stock is an awesome little rifle. Very accurate or at least mine is. Comes with a heavy chf threaded barrel. They make the predator version too if you’d rather a longer 22” barrel. How’s makes a 20” barreled action not sure if they still offer the entire rifle but brownells has the 20” barreled actions in stock. Legacy sports used to make a 6.5 Grendel bolt gun too but pretty sure they went out of business but I still see them from time to time on the second hand market.

The Grendel got me started too, and I gravitated back to 6mm. I was stoked when they made the arc, because I was about to build a 6ar/Grendel. Now I run an arc, 243win, and a243ai

My 'fun at the range' target load in my 23 inch barrelled 6.5 Grendel AR 15 is a 130gr Berger AR Hybrid at 2360fps. ES isn't great but the SD is single digit and it's just fun to shoot

Looking at the 6.5x47 lapua for high power silhouette cartridge in a remington 700. Looks like there's lots of room for long high BC bullets and still feed from the magazine.

I really like my 6.5 creedmoor and just really started on the grendel. It is a pretty capable deer cartridge from the 15 platform to best of my understanding. The low recoil is very appealing to me. A howa mini action in the grendel is a tempting choice.

The 105 and 108 grain bullets are my favorite for the Grendel. Getting 2640fps from my 18” ar15 and surprisingly even faster from my 16” bolt gun using sierra bullets still get that .500ish bc too.

6.5 Creedmoor works in the AR10 platform. Love my 6.5 Grendel AR15 and bolt 6.5 PRC.

You should really try a long barrel 25 creedmoor. 31” Shilen select with 43.5 grains of N555 sends the 135 Berger LRHT 2950 and match accuracy. No pressure. 43.4 is a recommended load for 140s in a 6.5 creed per Viht.

would new Hornady 100gr 6.5 bullets fit in the 6.5 Grendel? they seems to be really good performance for the weight.

I also shoot the "6.5 s"grendel, creedmoor and prc looking at the 6.5 Lapua but in your opinion which is more accurite the creedmoor or Lapua !! always looking forward to the next you tube vid.

Because they already exist just under different names. 6.5 Creedmoor, 284 Winchester, and 308 Winchester all use the 30-06 case cut down to work in a short action. Even then 284 is on the edge. Hunting bullets you can load to 2.800 or close to it will work fine. If you use heavier high BC bullets they're too long for a short action mag. You have to go to a longer action, a bigger case diameter or both.
6.5 Creedmoor is a really efficient 6.5 MM short action cartridge but it as long as you can get using a magazine. That's why we now have 6 CM, 25 CM, and 22 CM. You have to go to smaller bullets and push higher velocities to get the ballistics in that case.

@@thomasdaum1927the 30 creed is the original. It’s called the 30 TC the parent case for all the creedmoors. It’s a lead balloon that didn’t go anywhere. As for the 7 creedmoor I can’t speak for anyone there but no one wants one. Steve hornady stated in an interview that many projects are done by passionate employees behind the scenes. Shoot the 6.5 Grendel and 450 bushmaster where developed for gun companies. The 6.5 creed and 6.5 prc were developed with a competition shooter. The reason no one wants a 7 creed is because 190 a tip would be way to slow out of a creedmoor case if it could do it at all. And hornady only wants to run high bc bullets. Hope this helps.

@@chadperry4021 I was criticizing the 6.5 cred , I’m not a fan of all these new cartridges . We have the 7 08 and 308 so we really don’t need a 7 cred or 30 cred except for target use and the 260 for target or hunting ( at reasonable ranges ) and really don’t need the 6.5 cred ! I feel that the ( real ) reason for all these new cartridges is mainly to sell new rifles !…… The average hunter will do just fine with a 2506 , 270 or 3006 - 300 Win .
