  • In our modern, hectic world, anxiety and sleep deprivation have become prevalent issues. However, the answer to these complex problems might lie in simple, indigenous practices like "Pina’ki" from grandmother's/mother's oral culture wisdom from Shughnan ( Shohdaras/Bartang Valley) , Pamir or the western of so called “ Siesta" - is an afternoon nap taken in the afternoon, mostly in Asian countries -ostensibly to escape the blazing midday heat, digest lunch and energize for the rest of the day. Remembering these traditional approaches can serve as the first step towards tackling the sleep woes and anxiety rampant in today's society.
