How to transfer slow motion video from iPhone to pc or mac

- First, I have to express my frustration that importing a simple slow motion movie that you've filmed on your iPhone to your PC or MAC using USB cable is not a simple task! Unfortunately, after moving the clip to your computer, it plays at the normal speed. However, the clip would have a higher frame rate . Higher framerate (240 or 120 fps) means it was filmed at slow motion. iPhone's iOS brings down this frame rate to give the effect of slow motion!
In this example, I use an app that is developed by Apple called iMovie to export the file (save as). Then, it combines the slow motion data with the clip and makes a slow motion movie. So, once your transfer it to your computer, it'll be slow motion.
You could also use some video editing software on your mac or pc to covert the portion of the clip into slow motion and choose your own desire slow motion speed.
If you want to be able to play slow motion videos on Windows without converting it. Apple had its own player called QuickTime for playing .mov formats but it doesn't support it for Windows any longer. Instead, there is an extension that you can install so that all the players in Windows (Movies & TV, Windows Media Player, or even VLC) could play videos from iPhone even if it's slow-motion. thanks, as of now i have tried playing this video on my laptop with VLC at slower speed, it seems ok, but not as good as what it used to appear on phone, will try the options you suggested later

There's also an Easy step without downloading any App. You can use your Screen recording on your phone(all iphones have that) and Record your slowmo after you save the recorded video trim it to hide the unnecessary clips . Thank you❤️
I understand your method. But, don't think this might reduce the video quality though it might still look good on your phone's screen. Plus, as you've mentioned, each time you'd need to trim the ends. But, thanks for the suggest!
@@bhupindertube I did a slow mo video today and tried playing it on VMC, and windows media player. It does play on both, but it loses the slow mo. Even though the frame rate on the file itself says 240fps, the playback it lost all of it. I think it odd that Apple would intentionally make the file to be needing an export to play with the slow mo frames on a windows machine.

If you bring the video file into a video editing program like DaVinci Resolve, no conversion is necessary because the program knows it's slo-mo. In Resolve, just render the file, which is called Deliver in that program. By the way, Resolve is a free download for the basic version.

This is great! I used this and it worked perfectly, except for one little thing. The video had been in portrait mode, but on the PC I found it was square. However, I suspect I might have needed to change a default setting on iMovie. I'll look into it.

Hey, useful video, but one question
i sold my iphone and copied all slow motion videos to my windows PC
they appear like regular video
now can i fix it anyway to appear as slow motion? ( i have a new iphone but did not transfer videos from old to new iphone)
