How to Use iMovie on iPhone

- iMovie is a simple yet powerful video editing app that can be used to produce great results on iPhone.
In this video, I'll walk you through the process of using iMovie on an iPhone in 10 simple steps and show off some tips for doing so!
1 - download and update iMovie from the App Store to the latest version.
2 - Start a new project. You can choose between Magic Movie, Storyboard, or Movie. I recommend choosing the movie to get flexible editing controls.
3 - import your footage into a project. You can use any footage you took with your iPad. But you can also sync up your iPad to iCloud and use footage your tool from your iPhone as well.
4 - get to know the iMove interface
5 - Start editing
Basic editing includes trimming footage, changing the order of clips, and so on.
6 - working with audio
You can change the audio volume to make it sound louder or turn it down to make it background music.
7 - apply transitions
Transitions could be a great way to go from one clip to another using fade, dissolve, slide, and more.
8 - apply filters
Filters can be applied per clip or to the entire project using the theme filters under project settings.
9 - add music
iMovie comes with music that you can use in your projects.
10 - exporting and sharing
Once you are done, export your video and save it to your photo library.
You can share it from there.

Can you explain audio editing more in depth?
I try and split the audio so I can make it match the video however the split option does exactly what the duplicate option does. No different.

Hey there… Great video! I’m pretty proficient in using iMovie but one thing aggravates me more than everything about it… Am I missing a way to reposition the text? Like if I want to turn the text so that it is not in landscape but portrait, is there a way to do that? Thanks🙌

Is it possibly to cut out a section of a video? Or do I have to make a duplicate and cut around on both and add both trimmed clips to the iMovie app to get the result of a cut?

I notice that it doesn't add a transition to the beginning of the video, say if you wanted the intro to fade in rather than start hard without a fade or transition. Is there a way to add transitions to put one at the start?

Thanks for the video… If you want to add a clip to the end of your movie, and you would like that particular clip to fade away, how do you do that? When I add a clip like a photo to the end of my movie, it doesn’t give me an option to make that particular photo fade away.

Hi there.. thank you for your video. I do iMovie on my Mac (it's harder for me on my phone) then I drop them from my desktop to my photos. But, when I do ... there isn't a cover photo... it's just a black screen. Is there a way to put a cover photo on the file once it's in Photos? In iMovie projects, they have the cover photo that I chose. I'm not sure you answer questions here, but if you do, thank you in advance. Also, is there a way to put all the iMovie projects that I have on my computer onto my iphone? Is there a way to sync them?
