It’s definitely about getting your mind right. I lost 29 lbs about 18 months ago and there was NO doubt in my head that I was not going to succeed. I felt so good! I went right down to 9 stone 10lbs. Over the months I’ve gained 12 lbs and can’t stand how I feel now. I put 7lbs of that 12 just over Christmas and regret it as I didn’t hold back on the chocolate! You have motivated me, thank you and am today starting on homemade soups for lunch and going back to my previous regime - max 25g sugar per day!
B 'n' B, Thanks for sharing your knowledge, humor, and generosity with us. I really appreciate them and your time!
Love you 2, I'm 51 and need to lose 10 pounds which isn't as easy as when I was younger haha, love the video and advice, Happy New Year, Love Suzanne in the Uk xxx
The "Younger Next Year" guys were great
You guys are the best! I love your positivity.
You guys are so pleasant to listen to
That’s pretty impressive that your former best weight is now your current weight and you have a new goal. You guys look great!
Thanks for the video. Your goal date is my goal date as well. MY BIRTHDAY. Down 10 pounds so far. Got a little more to go.
The WHO you live with is huge.
My husband and I separated for three months and I lost 45 pounds because I ate the way I wanted which is virtually barely enough and healthy. He is a horrible influence. He promotes ice cream, candy, starches, carbs, sugars, etc. and he eats late at night.
I’ve tried to maintain my weight loss after we got back together and it’s impossible. He’s a huge narcissist and it’s incredibly hard to even realize the influence.
Why I stay: we’re all flawed including me and I’d rather be with him and keep working on us as we were married 18 years before our first rough hardships that made us split. I love him for better or for worse.
I love being a size 12!
Pray I can get back there.
Good tips and encouragement, thanks guys!
Eliminating sugar works for me. However as #1 says, I need to get my mind right and commit to my healthier eating habit.
I love your videos. Greetings from Dominican Republic
Great tips!
Good luck Brad. I'm doing the same and have a lot of weight to shift. I'm doing the gym, walking and dieting with WW. I also use a fitbit trying to attain 10k steps per day.
Enjoying the channel thanks 😁
Perfect timing video thanks
Just started the 5 to 1 system you showed in another video! Barillo chick pea pasta is under 5! Found it in Target. You guys are a gem
Thank you again Bob and Brad, you've been a big help in losing over 250 lbs. These steps will help me break my plateau and lose another 200!
Awesome! Learn about lymphedema to see if you've developed it (many do). It needs constant treatment and can masquerade as fat.
@@momstermom2939 Thanks, I am still going! Down to 333 from 700. As, to luck, I prayed aloud and asked God to help.
I've got disabilities. I'm changing now. I've got fibromyalgia & my sister doesn't understand foods I can't eat other wise I suffer. Anyways since the gym closed by covit I slacked big time!!! Having a lot of things wrong with me, doing your exercises and staying motivated is the key. Gained 20lbs!!!!
U two provide such valuable guidance. I recommend u to people all the time.
Thank thank you Both are So Amazing and A Blessings to me❤
I went on 16:8 IF in mid November and ended up losing 6 pounds in the subsequent 2 months. That was by intention. I lost 10% of my body weight last year and will lose an equal amount this year. IF allows me to stick to any diet plan. I lose weight for 1 week, maintain for multiple weeks. I only need to lose a couple pounds a month, so that I can eat like this forever. Also the maintenance weeks allow me to ensure I get proper nutrition. I could go on any type of diet and lose weight as you say. This way of doing that weight loss is what teaches me how to maintain that loss
Thanks guys 💪🏻
I enjoy their mush-mouth delivery of this stuff
Food diary - writing down what you eat and how much each day helped me. I Use food app that keeps track of that and coordinates with my fitbit steps. Lost 20 pounds 2 years ago doing this; but have been stuck at current weight since. Any suggestions for when we hit a plateau ? Hope your families and you both are doing really well.
Great video
Thinking before eating is a good thing to do. Also eat smaller portions.... start slowly to put a little less food on the plate.
I eat off a tiny 4" plate when my daughter cooks and I know I'll want seconds ☺️
80/20 food/exercise consistently...and moderation
Such great info
You guys are fabulous! So helpful! 💜🌟☀️🌈🌿🥰
I cut chips and desserts down to a serving size per the packages instead of infinite. Still had them with each meal and in the evening. Lost weight at least as fast as this, 20 pounds total.
Love you guys!
I love bread but since I discovered I have a gluten intolerance, I have decreased consumption. Went for gluten free bread but was getting expensive and noticed it was higher in sodium. So I guess that helped with the weight loss.
I love your rambling.
I bought your BP cuff. Wow. Thank you so so much. I never bet a correct count in the drs ofc. It’s gotta be mental and I don’t even know it. Now my dr is taking your BP count!
There is not one "healthy" sports drink in the world, other than fresh, clean water.
I loved this topic. After a abdominal operation w 6 month recovery. I need to drop 20. It's been harder than usual
Awesome guys!!❤️
Can I wean out of an ASO brace by using work boots or hiking boots?
One of the things food writer Michael Pallon says is cook at home. And he doesn’t mean microwave some “healthy” processed meal. He means buy the basic ingredients and fire up the stove.
I love it when you ramble on!
Love your videos! Greetings from Pakistan 🇵🇰
want to purchase some good shoes I am diabetic want to walk daily what Ortho shoes do you recommend to purchase?
Throw out scale, don't measure, no diet. Just eliminate processed foods (inc. all sugar) and get off your butt every day.
Thx for the peep talk! My doctor challenged me to lose 10 lbs by April. I wanna lose 16. Im cutting down on carbs and moving more.
@ Cutting carbs to below 20 g daily is only thing that always works. :-) Worked for me and dozens and dozens people I know on keto. Besides getting rid of diabetes for all that had it, increasing HDL, lowering TG, ....
mp7925 20g daily?! Goodness. I knock that out w eating oatmeal. Well Im gonna try noatmeal tomorrow.
@@leslieladyhawke At start of keto this was one of biggest mistakes not being really careful about carbs. I loved to drink milk, have decreased on keto but ignoring the fact that just half litre of milk have that 20g of carbs :-) ) As said, at least 70% of calories must come from fats to be in ketosis along with up to 20 or really max 25g of carbs; some might handle slightly more, I know from experience I do not). I strongly reccomend you check various authors about how to do proper keto, like on this channel, than dr. Berg, dr. Ken Berry, dr. Westman, ... etc)
Love watching & listening to these to Physical Therapists. They crack me up about them losing weight though. They both can afford to eat a few cheeseburgers.
I think I am young and thin. I just seem to be temporarily old and fat.......
Do you have some exercises to help seniors get off the floor.?
Walking workouts done indoors, youtube has tons to strengthen us older folks...
Good point the writing….it’s why our teachers had us write and say aloud our spelling words. It goes to a different part of our brains and will be there, hopefully, when recall is needed. But hmmm…ice cream and moderation 8 in the same sentence?
Thanks for the video!!! I have an event in about 5 weeks this is great motivation
Consider having a colonoscopy. After not eating anything solid for a day and a half I lost 5 pounds and managed to keep it off for a long time.
I also started taking just the serving size of cookies out of the bag (Pep Farm Nantucket is just ONE!) and putting them on a plate and putting the bag back into the cupboard.
And whenever I feel hungry I make sure to take a big gulp of water, then see if I'm still as hungry as I thought.
Be serious
Visualize self at ideal weight
Be positive
Pick diet-stick to it
Have 1 cheat day
Exercise (diet most important)
Exercise 5-6 days/wk
Read good diet or exercise book, more you know-the better it’s motivating.
I’m eating cookies while I’m watching this
In your opinion of course Bob.. 😛✌️
They have a college roommates giving a class presentation vibe. In the best way!
I love both of you, I can start my diet, it my birthdays ,it truth next week I will 💥 76 years olds God bless you
Have you heard of the Curamat? It's an accupressure mat that relieves pain. Anything to it or just hype?
I did the unthinkable and went vegan only for a month (not that it is the healthiest option) I think I am starting to see some results from it though. I for sure get enough vegetables. Cutting out refined sugars, fastfood and fatty snacks probably helps a. Bit too..
"I can't count calories"... as I'm typing in oatmeal and blueberries into my phones calorie counter. (using fitbit watch app)
Would you address age? My diet is pretty clean, I walk 45 to 1 hr near daily, sleep well, move pretty much with gardening &housework & errands. Now I’m 75and I have a sneaky idea it’s the volume I eat which is the problem. I can still eat anything, no digestive problems, but I think age is the factor here. Welcome comments please. Are older people suppose to eat less?
I am using the 5 to 1 rule. And the weight is coming off . After 3 months have lost 15 lbs. I drink mostly just water, sometimes unsweetened tea. I crave milkshakes. When I get the craving I have an ensure. It is 220 calories but the sonic milkshake was 600 to 700 cal.
Stretch-ez!
Can you list them
The thing I have the most trouble with... for 45 years now. Since I was 15! 🤭😥
Counting calories worked for me. I always looked down on the idea until I finally tried it and realized how I’ve never been aware of how much I’ve always eaten.
I weighed 233 winter before last. I now weigh 174. I feel sooo much better about myself. I used to be the definition of fat now I'm pretty fit. I still have a belly I'm going to shoot for 165. That's so what would be normal for my height I'm 5'8. To me as long as constantly trying and paying attention to what and how much I eat. Counting calories for quite a while I've been shooting for 1500 a day. Naturally it fluctuates between that and 2000 cals. It's still working its currently 4:17 I'm done eating for the day I'm at 1715 calories. Yesterday I was at exact 1500 and went for a run. Today I did 60 push-ups and 25 bicep curls. Set of 10 heavy set of 10 light then 5 heavy again each arm with dumbell
I wana know what Bob ate over the holidays
@@wanda520 rumor has it, it was gingerbreadman dough, 5 effing kilos! 😫😒😂
Guys. What about gaining weight for someone with a fast metabolism and an herniated disc?
Okay but I need to start next week
"Define your diet for weight loss": Minimize carbohydrates (bread, rice and dairy), and minimize sugar (it's in nearly everything). Hint: read the labels. ;-)
They are hysterical
I work nights seem that I need to know why I gain 15 pounds in three years of working nights 12 1/2 hours
See if I do a cheater day I will eat maybe not a whole gallon of ice cream but as much as my stomach will allow. Lol so I’m actually just trying again and I’m not going to have cheat days but I’m going to try to have a “maintenance week” where I increase my calories to maintain weight. I just think it’s different for everyone
The 120 year old hair parted down the middle might start a trend .It will be better then the man bun .
He would look so much better, younger and updated with that hair shorter and not parted. They both look great otherwise.
consistency is so hard for me.
Nice socks, Brad!
I lost weight almost 90 lbs in a year by counting calories and fasting 2 days a week. I used Fitbit to keep track.
I have been to the Grand Cayman Islands, you are gonna love it. I went on a Cruise Feb 2005 so I wasn't in Port but a few hrs, but OMG it was one of the most beautiful places I'd ever been to!
Great info and ideas BUT I think it’s different for women especially after 60 to loose weight
Does this work for menopausal weight gain? I've tried so much..it's discouraging
Reading labels does help, although I injured my back lately and just now getting back into walking again
Yeah that’s a tough one. I was very Athletic in very good shape but menopause hit hard
I’m right there with you...body’s changing. I try to stick to some type of daily exercise and clean food program.
Just persevere, don't do anything weird, diet-wise. It could take longer, but you'll get there eventually.
I eat keto/low carb. I had to research totally to know to eat healthy and safely. It is not unhealthy at all. I feel better! No classes or special food to order. I read, watch videos of Kristie. I looked up recipes on UA-cam. BUT it was a lot of trial and error too. Eat good fats.
thanks again guys .. moderation needs to be my watch-word and exercise (yuck) {does swinging a golf club 6 days a week count? 🙂} is the thing I need to get into more than 2 days a week.
Dr Hyman is the best nutritionist
I want to lose 50 this year. So I’m going to keep an eye on the scale and adjust accordingly. My activity level is going way up as the weather improves and life is routine. Need to cut bread and pasta!
Why is that star inverted
i USED TO LOSE 5 LBS A WEEK EASILY BUT AS i GET OLDER CANT LOSE MUCH ANYMORE-- YOU GUYS SURE DONT LOOK OVERWEIGHT AT ALL -BOB LOOKS LIKE YOU NEED TO GAIN SOME WEIGHT
You won't loose weight unless your in a caloric deficit on a daily basis, like these guys are saying it's not magic it's sticking to it
It's just my belly
Cut out beard as much as possible, carbs too, and do the plank exercises.
Hey gents! As a diabetic, gotta watch my carbs. May I recommend the low glycerin index Ezekial 4:9 bread by Bread of Life. I've been eating it for over 30 years. I enjoy the flax kind and they have sesame and the original, also cinnamon raisin. It's in the refrigerator health food. Its yummy and has a pleasing mouth feel. Jus' sayin'.
Let's do this! I am gonna try to be down 10 in 5 weeks, too.
Watching you guys sit shows that you (and my PT's) do not practice what you preach. Leaning forward and bad leg posture!!!
But I come here for the rambling!
#1 starts at 1:55 FYI
Fifth one to comment on the video nice video
My wife is a couch and computer potato. I ask her to walk with me or what ever to be active, she always finds a reason not to. I am concerned that she will slowly die a sedimentary death
I eat keto as a way of life. Not only weight loss but have few to zero asthma attacks. Went from 12-13 inhalers a year to 3-4, and that's cause I am not perfect and when I go back to carbing like people normally do, I start having asthma attacks.
Also, chronic heart burn, goes away. Joints stop hurting also sttiff feet. My mind is clear and works better and I have more and sustained energy - no afternoon coffee necessary. Chronic systemic inflammation goes. My face actually looks more youthful. Lots more positive things but it's midnight and I'm tired, so just stopping here. And those and other benefits are not just my story my. I follow a lot of keto groups. All people who eat this way expensive these and other benefits.
get a book? there are plenty of bad books out there and many more "cherry pick" data to prove an agenda. I trust you guys, can you recommend a couple of books?
Hmmmmmm how did Cayman Island go . All plans shelved in 2020
If you crave pizza try a crust less pizza.
