Great reaction. This song was released in 1970. They are a brother and sister duo and Karen Carpenter died in 1983 aged 33 from Anorexia Nervosa an eating disorder. Could you please react to "A SONG FOR YOU" and "NOW" which is one of the very last song Karen recorded before she passed away. Hope you will do them , they are beautiful ballads

Karen Carpenter actually preferred to play drums and considered herself a drummer who happened to sing.
There are lots of good songs by them worth reacting to.
My personal favorites are "A Song For You", "Superstar", and "Rainy Days and Mondays".
Besides the ones Rick P mentioned, Leaving on a Jet Plane is also very good too. With Rainy Days and Mondays, you get to see Karen play the Drums and sing.

Awwww such a beautiful song! Lots of people used it at weddings in the 70’s and 80’s. Including me. The first time around 🙄. Second time a charm 32 years later.

Yah, .. mom and dad had the " Carpenters , Barbara Streisand, Bee Gees, Michael McDonald. " playing all the time. But the Carpenters were special. I grew up in 80's , 90's but the 70's music was always playing still in the 80's. I had an incredible childhood and they part of it. Great reaction! Greetings from TEXAS YALL ! LOL . The interesting thing about this song is it was in a commercial first...but once Karen sang a song, she had a way of making her version stand alone...except maybe 1 song...Superstar. Her version is great, but so too is Luther Vandross' version.
