Probably one of the most beautifully crafted explosion scene in a movie I've ever seen.

Hey guys! This might sound crazy, but when I was a kid (around 2009 or 2010), I saw a movie on TV that I can't remember the name of. There was this one scene with a bomb explosion that really stuck with me. I've been trying to find the movie ever since, but I had no luck... until today! I finally found it! A big thanks to whoever uploaded it! ❤️

I loved book's version better: it looked for people like a true miracle - the man who must've been dead suddenly appeared behind a statue of an angel. While the explosion was flashy, it lacked mystery of the original plot

The story in movie is contorted to disgust, no Maximilian Kohler, no branding in vetra's chest, not even Langdon joining camarlengo in helicopter.
i prefer the parachute over 'hehe i am actually alive'. it gives more suspense knowing he is the closest the the shockwave, and has everyone catch him when he was unconscious
Three days later, everyone is dead from the gamma radiation burst. Yay!

@@CanadianGamer.01 Sure. (Although you could argue it’s technically the purest form of a nuclear explosion) BUT it’s not the “Nuclear” part that’s the problem. It’s the “explosion” part. Airburst are more destructive because the explosion reflects off the ground, that reflection then fuses with the initial explosion and creates what’s called a “Mach stem” it’s why air bursts are the Go to for destroying cities

Everyone who saw that explosion probably had their eyes fired inside their skull.
Except a piece of antimatter that size would destroy the entire city and beyond, not a 0.5 mile section of sky. The helicopter would not be able to fly far enough away.
And he would not have been able to control the parachute. If he survived the blast of course.....!!!

on the other hand, by the same logic, they REALLY should've made a more impressive boom. like c'mon, you could blow the audience's minds with a realistic anti-matter explosion, but instead you go for all those VFX shots?
That's the least of the worries. The gamma radiation released alone will cook people's insides even before a physical explosion.
... except it is not clear what size or how much antimatter there was.

Whenever i watch a movie i can see plot twists coming miles away, but i confess that in this movie i really didn't see that coming, the guy that saved the Vatican was actualy the bad guy😂

@@TobiNanosometimes spectacle in show wasn't enough to let you sink in stories, better narration was often give me emotional impact than pure visual. Especially in this movie for some reason I can tell who the bad guy really quick so the plot twist at end didn't bring satisfaction for me.

As much as better book maybe. Doesnt mean this scene here & the movie itself isn't great. This was an incredible moment. Beautiful. Heaven opened it's doors & an angel fell. A fallen angel.
I wanted him to become the new Pope...but then.... Crap..... Fantastic twist ending.
It provided a view back to our ultimate home for s few moments

Ain’t no way that dude survived the explosion. He was literally hanging on a parachute, got slammed into the building at what must have been 90 mile an hour wind or more, and then dragged several feet across it.

Although I hate how they changed the whole movie adaptation, this scene is far better than what was described in the book (esp with Chamerlengo parachuting peacefully towards the dome while Langdon plunges into the river and surfacing back alive, that would have been so corny if it was adapted that way).
0:03 makes no sense to me: the flying thing knocks the two at the bottom before the guy in front dodges it?

The basic building blocks of the universe are made up of Matter, Antimatter is the opposite, created from particles that are oppositely charged compared with normal matter, however it is far rarer in the universe for one specific reason.
Both Matter and Antimatter react with eachother, when they do? They both annihilate each other in a very powerful and very explosive reaction. Although I must say, based on how much is there? The damage is far too unrealistic. One teaspoon of Antimatter is all it takes to destroy everything within a 3 km radius.

@@MisterHowzat the antimatter annihilation produces immense amounts of energy in this movie it was a antimatter bomb with 1gram of antimatter,single gram of antimatter when annihilated with matter would produce enough energy to outscale tactical nuclear bomb thus helicopter would never stand a chance to carry it high enough or far enogh in just few seconds as it did here , it would kill all the ppl below and the shockwave and thermal radiation would obliterate the buildings in the area.
@@MisterHowzat when the antimatter comes in contact with matter, it immediately annihilates. there is no two second delay for some weird effect to warp the air or something like in the movie. it's instant.

Hang on a minute. An antmatter bomb. So your anhialating ALL mass and converting into energy? Even a small amount would be a massive explosion way more powrrful than the equivelant nuclear fission bomb. Edit: 1.1kg of antimatter = Tzar Bomba (38 Kt nuclear H bomb) would vapourise everything in a 3 mile raduis
Well, that ain't 1.1kg in that small container. Probably less than one gram. She said it would have a yield of 5 kilotons of TNT.
@@MisterHowzat A 5kt nuke would produce a MUCH larger explosion than that. Typical Hollywood "make it look cool" while having no idea how explosions or antimatter actually works.
Imagine managing to go back in time and combining that thing with a nuke by putting it in the core of the nuke and using it on Christ. Imagine the riff in time that you would cause. His father.
