THAT TURBO moves a lot more air at a lower BOOST. Dont worry about BOOST # being 20 psi
I agree for the most part but I think it defiantly has a boost leak.
You guys are too cool for UA-cam
watch out with those hoodie string. Don't want to be pulled in by the belt. Also how much boost is it making now?
Yeah they’re always getting In the way haha. The pcv pipe isn’t hooked up to the intake so it’s not making peak boost(gay intake breather won’t line up) But it is currently only making 20 psi. I don’t think the pcv leak could make the boost drop that much so I’m thinking my boost gauge is garbage. Also: I’m not a diesel mechanic and I did the install myself in my garage so there’s the potential for a leak on back of the turbo with the collector
I have the same turbo on my 7.3 love it. Go check out living on wheels he does a video on that filter your running and the s&b. I have the s&b also big difference
Yeah I’m loving the turbo. 6637 is a nice cheap intake. A s&b would be cool if I had the money but the 6637 does the job and performs well enough for me
Good job! Так держать!
Did y'all find the problem? I jus had that same turbo installed with new up pipes ebpv delete and it sucks so disappointed, my stock turbo with leaky up pipes had more get up and go
So now that’s it’s starting to warm up I’ve been looking into it. I’m assuming your referencing the rushing air sound that sounds like your epbv closing when it’s cold. In my case, I have it narrowed down to either leaky or loose plenum boots, and also the plenum may not be mated correctly with the turbo. I didn’t pay to much attention when clamping the plenum to turbo because I figured the clamp should seal it up, but that is not the case. It can leave a small gap if not fitted correctly which can cause a major boost leak. Same can be said with on the back collector/turbo side. This turbo is larger and requires more air to get spinning. You really won’t see any benefit unless you have bigger injectors with it. Hope this helps.
It’s not happy with your air filter.
You need a chip or custom tuning and alot of fuel
I put my turbo gtp38 but the car was too weak, so I have to program it
Delete that ebpv, huge difference when I bought the deleted housing, mine was sticking in the winter and you could hear it while driving.
Yeah I should have bought one but I was being cheap and thought I didn’t need it.
Did it make a big difference in terms of the motor warming up? Or taking longer to warm up once deleted?
@@Logaweed I use a high rev setting on my tuner to warm up, so it is definitely fast to warm now but I'm in the southeast. 10 degree Fahrenheit or lower is rare.
I would notice in the wintertime the valve of the epbv would stick until it had been run for a while, when you delete the valve obviously you don't have that issue anymore.
You’re not supposed to put that fucking plastic thing inside your 4” intake boot😂 that’s why it gave you so much trouble!
Ill tell him lol
The instructions from garret say to reinstall the breather assembly into that boot. Shows it in pictures and everything. In retrospect it wasn’t smart, but I don’t really care. I’ve seen people run full pvc intakes, this one’s not that bad lol
All I hear is the turbo spooling up and down....
Just needs some injectors maybe stage 1.5’s or 2’s
It has rosewood 180/30 injectors
@@trob5202 do they do good work???
@@jamesringler987 needs better hpop and a regulated return. The old pump is getting weak
Throw that head unit in the trash
I don’t like it either, came with the truck. Recommendations?
