    Looks awome and nice work I mounted the ccv catch can in the back of the s and b filter but depending on the year model you may have a fuse box behind it, also am glad to hear you where going to run it back into the intake I've herd of a lot of issues venting it to the atmosphere since it no longer has the negative pressure in the system.

    • @LivingOnWheels
      @LivingOnWheels  4 роки тому +1

      I heard people with issues too, but I think that is mainly from people using undersized hose or poorly routed hose. International ran all their 7.3s vented to the atmosphere. Thats how they were designed. I will still probably catch can it at some point to get rid of the smell.

      @@LivingOnWheels yea true but I have also heard a lot of people who vent them to the atmosphere and have issues with oil leaks in valvue cover gaskets and the turbo seals for some reason but when they re connect the ccv it goes back to normal. Idk it's your truck if you dont have issues running it that way then power to you, you have nice videos and love watching the channel keep up the great work.

    Man, your truck looks steller. No doubt better than mine, but I have also put a lot of work into my 1999 7.3, and I am in love with the truck. The pride of ownership with my F250 is sky high. I own a lawn business, so I have owned many newer and other older trucks, but my 7.3 F250 takes the cake for my undoubtedly favorite truck. My supposed to be "daily" is a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder, but I find myself only driving that a few times a month. When it comes time to grab the keys, the F250 keys are like magnets to my fingers. My wife is like, are we taking the Nissan, and I'm like, I'm trying, but I can only reach the truck keys. They are usually right next to each other. :)

    Some options for your old CCV intake manifold section: 1.) I plugged mine same way you did but I also cut the ear out of it to help reduce turbulence and airflow resistance. 2.) best way to go (and what I'm about to do since my intake is currently removed) is grab a piece of 4"o.d. stainless and cut it to the same length as your plastic piece and get a hanger to mount to your valve cover bracket. Removes the hump in the bottom and provides a symmetrical passageway to your compressor wheel while sealing the intake system in a more permanent manner. Definitely taking notes from your videos though and damn that's a good looking 7.3! One of these days I'll catch up to all the upgrades you've got on your rig.

I just viewed a UA-cam that basically said that this is a very bad thing to do. I did the riffraff billet intakes . Also many cuodos for the great video on injector replacement. I did the job with 130 cc 30% single stage reman injectors.

    • @LivingOnWheels
      @LivingOnWheels  4 роки тому

      David Wernecke nice man! I love my KC300. As for the CCV there are a lot of people on both sides of the fence. My opinion on it is this. International designed these engines to be vented to the atmosphere and they ran it on all of their trucks that way. As long as you do it properly I see no reason to not to vent to the atmosphere.

    Do your research on the crank case vent .. bill Hewitt and many other people say its a bad idea.. just because riffraft sells it dosnt mean its a positive gain.. I've seen people say it causes starvation of oil in the turbo and increases pressure in the crank case housing causing turbo seals to blow.. maybe im wrong maybe its just stock turbos.. just stating what I've read

    • @LivingOnWheels
      @LivingOnWheels  3 роки тому +1

      International designed these engines to be vented to the atmosphere. That is how they ran it in all their T444E trucks. People run into pressure issues because they either use to small of a vent tube or don’t have proper routing. Also, the turbos are not oiled from the oil vapors in the intake. They have a full constant supply of oil running through their center housings.
