Pelosi and Schumer bother me, Sinclair television bothers me, and Robert and Rebecca Mercer bother me. also, if Trump loses, the nuclear football bothers me.
It is starting to look like the prefatory militias forming, arming up period before a civil war over there. Very clearly that's what the right is doing. As always, a huge amount depends on the decisions of the army, both officers and enlisted soldiers, how they feel about the right planning massacres and ethnic cleansing. It won't be the Spanish Civil War. There'll be no seizing of police stations by unarmed workers to obtain arms. It isn't necessary or remotely possible. And it won't be the army rebelling against an elected socialist government. But it could be the army disarming rightwing militias and police departments, and it could be wholesale desertions and mutinies by soldiers if their commanders fail to give such orders.
I think you're underestimating how right-wing and fascist infiltrated the military is. The US military would never disarm American police departments. Those are their brothers in arms. They might give the right-wing militias a slap on the wrist if they get too fanatic, but not before they get to put a fair bit of rounds downrange of the protester-rich target range.
Rural parts of this country have become as lawless as it used to be during westward expansion. With things getting worse and more radicalized, right wing militias will stake their bases in these lawless rural poor areas as the last state infrastructure collapses there, with the open collaboration of the local police. Two years ago we had the record for CATTLE RUSTLING. In Forks, Washington 3% and white power militias were openly terrorizing a homeless family due to a fake right wing Facebook scare. If it ever comes to civil war it'll look like rural Syria as it fell into the hands of Salafi extremists.

The officer class may all be pmc and bourgeois, but not the troops.
