Sticker over license plate - Bus lane enforcement

SAICT issued many penalty tickets to riders caught misusing the exclusive bus lane.
The ticket acts as a penalty and a deterrent against doing the same thing again.
Apprehended riders were sent forward to the lay-by where they can be safely ticketed, without causing any traffic.
In the past, I’ve seen various enforcement agencies try to “wave” violators out of the bus lane. But the result was always the same…
Once the violator got past the enforcers, he immediately went back inside the bus lane.
That’s why the tickets are being issued and the operations are being held at random times, in random locations - to remind people that even if they don’t see an enforcer, they should still respect the exclusive bus lane, which hundreds of thousands of commuters are relying on.
