I know there are a few typos - but Sony Vegas was a pain in the arse (!) and I'm happy it didn't bug anymore with the final result.
Alright, here's my tea:
This is a video of the fanfiction "Manacled" by SenLinYu on AO3. I didn't want to do a trailer, rather a video capturing the atmosphere and darkness of the story.
It is a story about the bad turn of the Wizarding war - Where Harry Potter died - for good -. Where the remaining Order of the Phoenix is desperately trying to fight, yet loses. The Resistance is lost and most of its members are enslaved. Hermione, as a healer and best friend of Harry Potter, was admitted to the High Reeve, the right hand of the Dark Lord, Draco Malfoy.
I absolutely loved Hermione, Draco and Ginny in the story. Their characters, actions and mindsets are refreshingly different, yet they fit perfectly into this world.
Elle Fanning fits the role of Ginny Weasley much better than Bonnie in my opinion and gave me more material to work with. Originally I wanted to cast someone else as Draco as I didn't think Tom Felton would fit the character of Draco in Manacled as a ruthless, ice-blooded murderer. But on the other hand it should be recognizable as a Harry Potter video, right?
The Picture at the end ought to symbolize the photograph the golden trio took at their last christmas together and which is the only remaining memory of Hermione in the book about the second Wizarding War.

I was mesmerized with the story and I really had to make a video. I tried to capture the essence of desperation and wartime in this video, less focusing on the twisted love story. What I found important, and tried to capture, were the impact death and war made on Hermione, even after she and Draco escaped. Perhaps you have a fancast for them? I'm especially curious about Aurore Rose Malfoy, as I couldn't really find an actress for her.

I love how in manacled it’s not really just the ending or the beginning or a plot twist that leaves you feeling so broken afterwards. It‘s literally the whole story. With each chapter and each sentence it breaks your heart just a little bit more
The final picture reminds me of "she did not fight."
That's exactly why I used this picture! Unfortunately I couldn't find a similar one like where they were sitting at their last Christmas together. I figured this picture was as good as in the story because Hermione looks just as determined yet broken. All three of them do.

I am so in love with this fanfic. I'm not a fanfic reader, but this won my heart. So bittersweet and painful to read and yet, amazing.

I've finished reading Manacled and I just couldn't figure out how I felt after reading it. After watching your video, I was overwhelmed with such melancholy, it just emanates hopelessness... And the music so fits! Idk it seems alright after all but I just can't help feeling they never came back from the war. Thank you for this wonderful video, it fully reflects the atmosphere of fic. Btw, while I was looking for music, I came across the song "Life" by the same band - the song is directly about their daughter!💔
