Yeah, saw it again and it was there... When he weighted it I though exactly there should be 1 normal holo + 1 holo energy, hut when he said was none I was like: how? Now we have the answer
i did weigh thing to and my heaviest pack had no holo energy in it but it did have 2 types of star type pokmeon reverse in it maybe those are heavier to. maybe they made heavier reverse to to make it harder to get best pack.. mostly in my most light packs where good hits !
I think s/v having 2 reverse holos is making it harder to weigh but with enough packs, there is probably a pattern that will emerge. The holo energies might also be a new way for them to make packs harder to weigh so they seem to be going in the right direction.
The sample size was just too small. We need to find out the average weight per pack in a 100 ETBs or more, as the .60 could be in the middle of the range scale. Good video to watch and inform the community about packs weighing. 👍
you're missing the point, its not about finding the exact weight of which packs have hits, its finding out if heavier or lighter packs have hits, which this video proved you cannot tell, his best hits came from both "lighter" and "mid" range of packs
Another tactic you should notice is that there are at least three foil patterns that should have different weights. The EX holo, the textured holo, and the SIR holo. Some "lower" tier hits will have higher tier holo. For example see Slow King EX from SV Base.
It almost seems like vivid voltage were light packs were the hits reason for that is because that all white barcode card is lighter the all green with black barcode card is heavier if you weigh the barcode cards by themselves they are diffrent weights
I weighed 12 packs today, ranged from 22.41 to 22.74. I only had 2 holo energies, one at 22.59 and one in the heaviest pack 22.74, both with just regular holos in the rare slot. I had 2 packs in the 22.59 pile, the 22.60 pack had a Giovanni's Charisma SIR and a Blastoise ex. So that shows how heavy the energies are in comparison. (should also say this was from 2 poster collections and 1 booster bundle and I didn't keep track of which packs came from what).
Potentially, but then you would just have a new dataset that looks for the heavy hitters AND holo energies. If someone was weighing on a large scale (as in hundreds or thousands of packs), they would simply pick the ones that are hits + holo energies instead of the ones that are just hits. If that makes any sense.
Instead of weighing it, you can use gambling stats. Once you pull a major hit, the likelyhood of another is nil so you save the packs to repack up a box for later.
New to this game. I like the video idea. That does seem to be an extremely small dataset, though. Realistically, you'd want to do like 100 packs minimum to have meaningful data. Would also have subsets of data for grouping by ETB (or booster bundle or whatever). Then you would put each box's data into a spreadsheet and analyze the data. There would be min/max for each box, an average for each box, as well as a standard deviation. Then, these would compare to the other boxes. Hypothetically, you could actually weigh booster bundle boxes while still boxed and develop a pattern. I imagine the Japanese ones are HIGHLY weighable, due to there being the presence of the poke ball and master ball variants.
my friend and I weight every collection we get so we know as we go through the packs the better pulls are still to come and we both noticed better pulls from the mid weight packs for 151 so far. And obsidian flames was impossible, we got good pulls from light packs and nothing from the heavy ones. I like how, for the most part, they managed to make the packs unweighable.
I managed to weight the Obsidian Flames Packs. First box was easier than the second. Got the best hits from the lightest and heaviest. I ended up with 32 packs unopened.
The aerodactyl is super cool. Too bad it’s on the cheapest holo foil I’ve ever seen from Pokémon. I kinda hate the plain holo pattern from S&V sets. Also the last pack did have a foil energy plus holo rare. So yeah follow up please.
I weighed my ETB and had a 22.65 pack with a foil energy and dragonair IR, also all my heavier packs had the hits(zapdos EX and kangaskhan? IR) at over 22.5 and the lightest ones still had foil energys.
Bro thanks for this. I was watching live openings and wondered how people could trust it.Huge fan of that Aerodactyl as well btw i have yet to pull it.
idk my heavy packs had multiple holos or Holo energys. my best pack that had the alakazam full art was in my second lightest pack of the 16 I opend so 🤷🏻♂️
See i really appreciate your video. I don't think it should determine buying from you honestly plus it would ruin ur credibility if you sold on light packs. It helps people that just buy solo packs when they see 3 to pick the heavier feeling one
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣BRO LOL!!!!! i forgot i write really weird until this comment 🤣 yea idk what happened to me man, i start 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9 from the bottom but the rest at the top
People in the community HAVE TO DO THIS. There will always be scammers trying to abuse stuff like this - so better always know whats possible and what not and be careful.
@@raphaell4808 true in that aspect but people that are doing this and resealing boxes without hits is just crappy. Maybe not so much on the English side but I order Japanese product and it’s common and sucks.
Scammers are gonna scam regardless. There are many ways to scam and you don't need a set to be weighable to do it. I love these types of videos because, as a buyer, I'd like to know if certain sets are weighable. We need these types of videos. If Vert doesn't make these videos, I guarantee you someone else will.

Have weighed 4 UPCs and binder collection. There are 4 levels. Heaviest packs are nearly always Reverse Holo Energy. 2nd levels, mid-heavy are mostly all FA SIR or FA UR. In the 2 final levels, midweight and low weight, you'll sometimes find hits, but mostly just normal holos. We found 1 Mew UR in mid/low weight. Haven't gotten demi-God pack, but assume that is the heaviest and an outlier compared to rest.
nice video. Make new one to show how you can re-seal packs after adding rare cards, then stream opening of them to scam viewers. e.g. Open from bottom, remove, swap a non-hit for a gold card, reseal, open from top on stream. I call Bullshhhiiiit on these youtubes making multiple hits. Various methods such as re-crimping, using crisp packet re-sealers, heating devices, cotton buds with glue, heated chopsticks even works..etc ....
also if all cards average a discrepancy of 0.20g, and there are 4 x possible holos in a pack then the heighest weight of a pack with 2 gold hits will definately be visible compared to a 3 x simple holo, but the likelihood of finding that pack to begin with is so small noone would be able to weigh every pack...However; in the boosted bundle boxes of 10 bundles of 6 packs each, then yes, it probably is easier to tell and now i am worried for everyone.
did a part 2 to this video!! the results are very very different.... ua-cam.com/video/j3deC5q2fKk/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Oh heck yeah. Appreciate bro. I dropped a sub for you also. You got some cool content
That last pack was the heaviest because it did have a holo energy in it.

Yooo just found your page man!! Congrats on all your success. Love the content you're creating.
Great video! thanks for doing this! very informative for those of use that are new in the collecting game.
I think they make the code cards different weights to throw this off . They’ve been onto this and know it will ruin the business
Dude needs a metal the opening mouth thumbnails been on point
Even if the set was weighable, wouldn't the holo energys potentially throw things off as a potential hit may just be an energy?
ouuuuu, that’s a very good point 👀

Not weighable. The energy holo will make packs heavier. I’ve gotten hits in light and moderate categories.
seems like a lot of people are saying this! that’s actually a really good thing to hear, thanks bro!
Great information man Thanks for what your doing.
These days, they just CT scan the packs and know every single card😂

Used to be able to tell which packs had holos and all that with a micrometer. Pulled out some good cards back in the days
all cards from 151 are so fire
I have done this with ten etb 151. And could not find a ability to weigh for hits. I got less out of the heavy boxes. And more from the mid weights.
When is Pokémon gonna wise up and realize people are scamming legit fans and make all the packs weigh the same
Sample size is too small
Just hit THE zard out of a 151 pack. The official weight was 22.53
They make the code cards weigh differently so it’ll be harder to weigh packs
I wonder how much a demi god pack would weigh.
