To offer some help..! Our team operates a variable media printing service and you may be overlooking a few issues surrounding how these items are "printed"? Firstly, the actual packaging contains various amounts of "ink" which is determined by the design coverage. Also, the actual cards are not printed equally. The various methods include a sublimation process in combination with an additional overlay/underlay, which also includes a variable amount of "metal". We use the term "metal" in reference to the foil polymer process, as well as the difference between how the texture may determined. When printing, the printing is only including the actual media, and not the packaging. In the regards to the newer pokemon packaging, you will likely see a variable difference between cutter packaging depending on region and possibly print lot. This is due to the sublimation gases and the adhesive as a redundant sealing in combination with heat seal. The code cards would likely have less impact than the variables. Hopefully this helps? Our best guess would also suggest that the actual packaging from ETB vs Booster would show some slight differences, especially if printed in different facilities. These are most often outsourced in a more structured manner vs previous years, which is what makes weighing far less accurate with more modern collections. It's also worth saying that the weight of each "color" is different when printing in more traditional methods, while printing with sublimation remains more consistent. This is to say that if you had identical cards packaged in different cutter packaging (or at different times of year) the total weight would differ. As well as you having the slightest weight difference determined by the cut of the cutter foil flap fold. This would explain the reason for the possible .002 - .006 difference seen in packaging alone. Good Luck, enjoy collecting. Thanks for Video.
I’ve been saying this pretty regularly, without as much technical information on the actual printing process. Bottom line it comes down to the fact that every individual card has a natural weight variance determined by various factors, even copies of the same card as you noted. Once you add code cards and consider variance in the packaging itself you simply can’t produce reliable weighing results to find all the hits.
Glad this is here, including the person who replied to you. YTers just weighing the packs aren't realizing the 0.01g difference across all the cards in a pack adding up to the larger difference. Then add in that their sample sizes are generally so small to even make a statistical conclusion.
I would suggest getting Kong dog toys for the doggo, if you havent bought any yet. Our dog goes crazy with some toys and they are the most durable ones still for us. Also love the Tatsugiri card, i need it!
Opened an etb. 2 Heaviest had a full art Lucian and Polchageist IR, Scream tail ex somewhere in the middle and Tatsugiri IR in the 2nd lightest pack. Seems a little random.
I have a German Shepard/Rott mix that ball would last about the blink of an eye. They make indestructible soccer balls, they aren’t indestructible but they will last a few months, maybe years since your dogs a puppy. (My dogs don’t make soccer balls, I’m just generally saying it’s an option, chewy/pet smart etc.
I've heard that pokemon make the code cards different weights so you can never really tell what the extra or lesser weight is in an attempt to make the packs unweighable
When you weighted the holo and art at the end..it was interesting when you did that..confused little..mayb the color of the cards has something to do with it..dark cards weigh more
All my heavy packs had nothing but one ex and my light/Mid-tier packs had 10 hits, gonna buy another booster box and try it again but at the moment I'd say its not.
I'm very interested in the blister . Ay yo vert Nathaniel I get my dog those Walmart balls too she is a Black Lab her name in lucy, aka luceal, aka Goose. Can't put a price on how much joy it brings them, even if it doesn't last that long, lol. I buy them all the time 😎🙌
My guy, you had a no hit pack at 22.29 and a no hit pack from one of your heaviest at 22.41. That’s a 0.12 variance on packs with the same layout, more than enough to account for the marginal hit weight differences. Point being there’s more that goes into the weight of a pack than just it having a hit or not and it’s still going to come down to luck. Someone could pull all the heavy packs from their box to keep, sell the rest, and they might only get one or two hits while the packs they sold could have had the Greninja sir or something.
@@ShinyVert Yeah, it doesn’t hurt to try and test it out, I would just be careful about how you draw your conclusions. You would need a much larger sample size to make any significant determination.
big restock shinyvert.com ✨🔥 is this one weighable or not??? 👀
Your the first person I have ever seen actually buy the bounce balls from Walmart, everyone usually just plays with them and leaves them
LMFAO this is so true 😂😂😂
now you got me invested in a part 3 of this experiment.. twilight is playing games with that scale
Next video will be, CAN YOU WEIGH BASKETBALLS AND DOES THE AIR QUALITY MATTER, right before the CTR match😂😂😂😂❤
LMFAOOOOO geeking at this😂😂

Woa. Big words many. For fellow dummies, I think it says
TLDR no can weigh modern set accurately cuz science and printing machines gooder

That pup is adorable!!! Our pup destroys those same walmart balls regularly. They never make it thru the first day! Haha
thanks so much!! i thought her losing baby teeth would help (i was sadly mistaken) lmao
The timing with the ball pop in the intro was perfect
Differentiate- “differ- en - che- ate”
Lol. You crack me up big dawg.

Acne be like that sometimes. I’m 34 and getting some of the worst in my lifes

0:25 What did you just say to that sweet lil’ furry angel bby!?
Right?!? 😂
Again very very helpful, Thank you.
Also did my comment on part 1 make this video happen?
I appreciate you man.
You have the heart in the right place.
Pretty damning if all the heavy packs have hits, even if there are hits sprinkled throughout the rest of the weights.

Interesting 😊Thanks gor the video Vert
Trixie is a BEAUTIFUL dog bro.
Wow that fish card is cool . Thanks for the vid broski. See you on the next

I do kinda like the mosaic look of it but idk xD
When you weighted the holo and art at the end..it was interesting when you did that..confused little..mayb the color of the cards has something to do with it..dark cards weigh more
How much does the code card weigh
Am I trippin or did you have a video recently where you found that the pack wrappers had varied weights?
Definitely do a part 3!
Weighable for sure… the heavy packs almost always had something in it. Except for 1… so majority says… damn WEIGHABLE
All my heavy packs had nothing but one ex and my light/Mid-tier packs had 10 hits, gonna buy another booster box and try it again but at the moment I'd say its not.
You don’t need to do it again, you’ve already proven it. There are too many variables to rely on finding hits by weighing.
textured ex are the tera type ex! loving this set

Very weird, will be weigting for part 3.

my guy, this def could be true but gonna continue trying to see because 6/7 heaviest packs from the bb all had hits

Weigh a common, reverse, ex, ir, sir to see weight
Nvm you did😂
Texture doesn't add weight either btw, it's just grooved in the card design
I used to have a dobie that loved basketballs, She ate em in 20 minutes,
the SIR was the first one you weighed btw
Damn you beat mystic too it
She has balls
Those ogre pons look just as bad in person.... I thought in rl they'd at least have nice shine and sparkle.... I got the water type and it's bland
12:49 i like these cards, and you can't take that from me you jerk!!!!!!!
Gang gang baby! What’s good y’all late to this party but I made it! 🎉
Lessss run that back a 3rd time bruh.
Wya gang
WE OUTCHEAAAAAAA
EWWW IM A MEMBER😂😂😂🎉
Probably leaning towards it being weighable
LETS GOOOO
😂😂😂 you can hear the pop
