Just double checking but the xbar cross bar aluminum size was 1x1x25" that was used to splice the xbar together?

Great build as always, and you always explain in detail nice and slow to understand for us beginners. I have a 2020 hobie compass Duo that I'm thinking of adding a one sided AMA for stability. Are you familiar with the Expandacraft setup , and which do you think is best.
Hi Johnny and thank you for the kind words! Yes I am familiar with the expandcraft and for me the Hobie setup wins every time. The expandacraft is just too big and bulky plus requires more setup time as opposed to the Hobie setup where you just bungee the ama to the akas and then pop them into the crossbars and off you go. Also the Hobie setup aesthetically looks great and not like an after thought lego project. 😉

Thank you Joshua! Yes, absolutely! This setup would be exactly the same as a Hobie Adventure Island or Tandem Island where passengers or gear would go on the trampoline. 😊👍

do you have any issues (cavitation ) using the short shaft motor with that motor mount being so high ?
The outboards cavitation plate sits a good amount below the hulls waterline so there are no cavitation issues.
How do I get to ama's and the rails to attach them I have a 2019 Hobie Oasis
You have to get them from Hobie by either ordering them thru a local Hobie dealer or an online vendor that sells Hobie parts. I would recommend a local dealer so that you get the correct parts that you need for the Oasis.
pro angler 14 or outback for inshore/offshore fishing? if i dont get one of those I will end up with an old town pdl
You can't go wrong with any one of those. It's all about personal preference and what your budget will allow or willing to spend.
How wide is the upper portion where the motor mounts ?
The 1" x 3" extrusion is 50 inches.

Thanks BhoeyG! Just a thought - with 60 inches you may have enough real estate where you can mount an outboard on one side and a trolling motor on the other. 😊👍
