    The result of 650x assumes they’re all brand new, since wrinkles in used bills will introduce some air pockets. That probably doesn’t make much of a difference in a stack that’s a billion bills tall, though. A million bills weighs about a ton, so the bottom 999 million bills have at least one ton of force squishing them down. There might be other weird effects of bills near the bottom of the stack getting crushed and deformed further, but materials science is outside my wheelhouse.
    Did the people who wrote these lyrics consider the finer scientific details? I doubt it. Did they use a bundle of used bills to get their measurements? Possibly, and that could explain how they got 800x, but even then, 800x is still not too far off from the “ideal” answer in terms of orders of magnitude, and “eight hundred” has a nice lyrical flow to it, so I’m inclined to forgive them.

    Can you make a video on why astronaut's bone density decreases rapidly in space 🚀🌌 please 🙏

    • @WereWade
      @WereWade 4 місяці тому +3

      That's a good one! Part of the problem is gravity is weaker in space, and another part is that astronauts are in constant free fall around the earth, so their bodies can't experience that resistance on Earth needed to keep reinforcing their bones. They have treadmills to strap down to, but that only slows the decline.

    Measuring thickness of a single bill is not a good idea. How flat or worn they are, is weight applied or not, what year they were printed?
