@@afig3539 I have a very short growing season here in Toronto and only a few varieties ripen in time. Nevertheless I've been getting some great success over the years! Sorry for all the questions I'm a bit of a fig monster 😂
@@afig3539 I know the feeling sometimes it's nice to get your mind off all the troubles in the world and just watch fig growers boasting of the new varieties on UA-cam hehe❤️
I live in the Chicago suburbs. This year is my first trying to grow figs and very excited. This greenhouse looks awesome. Hopefully one day I can build one. Any link to where you would recommend buy one like this. Trying to root Olympian and Sweet Diana in sand. Any tips will be appreciated. I am looking for Italian 258, colcol de dame blanc and black madeira cutting or tree to buy. Do you sell locally? 😊
Hi there! I bought my greenhouse from Costco online. I’m really excited for you! I didn’t have too much luck rooting in sand. 🙁 I do sell locally and I REALLY recommend Atreano (green outside/ red inside) and Italian Honey (yellow outside/ white inside) for here if you like the light figs. I have trees of both of these varieties for sale. If you are interested just email me (a-fig@att.net) I love these because they are very early and very productive!! The Italian honey tree I have for sale is already 4 years old and will be amazing this summer. The Atreano - I have ages 1-4 years and great pricing.
You are so funny with all your questions! 😂🤣 Ok…I am not monitoring CO2. I have a louvre window that is slightly open. Plus, pretty sure the trees regulate the air around them to suit themselves. Much better than we can.
Heck yeah A Fig. Looks truly amazing. Such a great collection. Rock on
May I ask how many varieties you're growing currently? Please and thank you
I have over 90 varieties! 🤯 only because UA-cam videos make you want to them all!!! Not my fault.

Politics is what drove me to watch fig videos! Life & growth & God vs destruction, evil, and lies. Best decision ever
@@afig3539 Amen!
What a great location
Thank you! Bet you have a great eye for that Dave!

Are you monitoring the CO2 levels in the greenhouse? is there a good air ventilation from outside in? Hope this is not too many questions😊

@@afig3539 the reason I asked that many trees will deplete the CO2 levels very rapidly without sufficient ventilation or CO2 supplementation.
And what is the height of your greenhouse I'm very curious?
9ft in the middle. 10’Lx20’Wx9’H
You have a praying mantis in with your figs. Back behind the CLBC.
Yeah, they are so cool! 😎
what's the white ash on leaves?
It’s diatomaceous earth 😊
Which state do you live in?
Is there reason you can't plant fig in ground?
I am in Illinois. Too cold in winter for the trees to survive in ground. 🙁. But I am trying some tricks! We will see!
Invest in some organza bags!
Bro! So right! I can’t believe I forgot about my organza bags. 😂
@ them rolly pollys cant get through them organza bags!
Save the figs!!
