Counting Down To Christmas-A Christmas Story the Musical-Rehearsal

We had the great pleasure of catching the musical number, Counting Down To Christmas, two weeks into rehearsals for the premier of A Christmas Story the Musical. Right at the end of this video, you see a little boy with a red winter hat and a yellow and orange scarf. That kid is Johnny Rabe who, just a year later, would play the lead role of Ralphie Parker in the Broadway production of this show at the Lunt Fontanne Theater.

There’s multiple non-white people in the ensemble and this only has five of the leads and the story relies on the family being a standard white upper-middle class family...
