Just wanted to say thanks for saving me a bunch of money. I watched your video, ordered the part, and replaced it in about 30 minutes. Easy and it works perfectly.
Thank you so much for this video. Our wires were slightly different and the bracket had 3 more screws but it was easy to make the adjustments. Our dishwasher is now working just like new. Thanks again!!!
This is exactly what I need. I'm going to try this. This is the 3rd time my dispenser was replaced. The last time a repair guy did it, I didn't pay attention. If only I had known it were so simple!
Thank you, I removed mine an actually replaced with a superior more modern version of this part. The electrical connections were different but the pump was the same so I just swapped the pump over to the new unit and used the existing electrical.
Thank you. My husband thought we could simply pull the dispenser hard enough to get it off. I'm glad I found this video before we do anything silly and dangerous

Thanks! I know this is probably incredibly dumb, but I first was trying to pry it off with a butter knife because I didn't know how to get it off. So not only did you save me 75$ on a repair man, but possibly my life! Haha, not sure if I'd go that far but seriously was not thinking about it being connected to electricity. Thanks again!
The dispenser should for the most part work just fine without the gasket. Unfortunately the gasket isn't sold separately. If you are concerned about it you will need to replace the whole dispenser. I hope this helps!
My detergent dispenser latch fell out and didn't know how to reinstall it. Thanks to the video I noticed there was a second part (blue inside the dish washer and grey outside) that fell under the dishwasher. Thanks!
I am replacing a broken dispenser as above but my dishes aren't clean. They are spotted. Not sure what the problem is. Anywhere I can find a vid for that too? Model Number GU1200XTLQ3. BTW, great vid. Saved me money.
I received from Sears a Whirlpool detergent dispenser p/n 8558129. In the same package is a plastic L-shaped item, each leg measuring about 1". One leg includes a blue plastic pin-shape item. Any idea what this is, and must I install it somewhere?
Hi, the lid of my dishwasher's detergent dispenser doesn't pop open and the tablet remains unused. Should I change the whole detergent dispenser or just the cover of the dispenser?
There are a few possible causes for the dispenser failing to open. Enter your dishwasher model number in our website's repair help system for model-specific info: www.repairclinic.com/repairhelp?TLSID=1773.
It may go on the dispenser. There is an L shaped plastic piece that goes on the back of the dispenser. Is there anything like that on the back of the dispenser? Could you possibly send us a picture of the back of your dispenser? If you would like you can send us an email at Jhull@repairclinic(dot)com
Just watched the video and followed their instructions. Easy breezy. Thanks for the video. Would it be stupid to caulk around the soap dispenser to make sure it is fully sealed?

The video helped a lot for me to change this thing out. It only took about 15 minutes total. Thanks.
Thank you! Our dispenser release latch had pulled out (curious 4 year old! ) and thanks to your video, I was able to fix it, 20 minutes!

Well, we're glad we were able to help you out!
Great video! Perfect explanation, and everything shown with enough detail. Definitely need to watch before you tackle a job like this.
Thanks for the comment!
Great !! Easy and Simple explanation. Liked it very much.--Thank you

Have a good repair!
If the manufacturer sold the seal separately we would have it available. Sorry about that Anthony!
Excellent!!!!!!
Awesome quick fix thank you

+Damian Ozga That dispenser is not designed to come apart for service so it is hard for us to say.
Thank you for your video 👍
The gasket for the main wash is missing on my dispenser assembly. I don't want to buy the whole assembly for this $1 part. What should I do??
I did this and wasn't too hard; however now the water doesn't fill. Any suggestions?
We're sorry Amanda, we're not entirely sure what plastic part you're referring to. Can you be more specific?

I have this on a only 3 year old dishwasher, and the seal is crumbling on the detergent dispenser door. Why can't I just buy the seal?
What size Torx screwdriver should be used to remove the front panel?
The one that fits! 😁

Can the inside door panel be replaced or glued on a
Kenmore #665.017362300 dishwasher?
