So what this tells me is if you wanna help customers out in booth stores, save your item to a full avatar for them to import into new Vroid... Or make them in new Vroid and share the new custom file.
Yes, to cover all bases, artists could make customs in old vroid and offer the old vroid custom file + new avatar/custom file, as some customers may prefer the old version.
Unfortunately this happens to some old models (mine too), since they added new parameters to new VRoid. You'll just need to fix them in new VRoid or stick with the old version for old models.

Is there a way ot do the same but backwards? I'm trying to import from 1.6.0 to 0.14.0 and the model doesn't seem to load correctly as it loads a default 0.14.0 model instead.
yeah but how do i import just the item bcz i dont have it on a charecter its just the item so how am i ment to import that with out it being on an already made charecter?
Currently it's not possible to import directly into new VRoid, so you'll need to put it on an old model to convert it. However, if it's a clothing texture, you'll be able to import directly into new VRoid via Edit Texture.
So for me, when I attempt to import the hair preset from the beta, it doesn't save it into my models area. ;.; I'm not sure what's going wrong or if I didn't do something right, but I'm not sure how to solve the issue.
@@HeyKaisky Actually, I think I may have fixed the issue. With 1.4, once it's converted and saved as a Vroid file, you have to select "open", and it opens the file for you to be able to save as-is as a custom item TvT It looks like it's pretty convenient for saving multiple items at once!
@@Still_Coding You probably already figured it out but go to your files, click on the "view" tab and then click on "show" or "options" you should see a tab that says hidden items. Click that and you're good!

it's been really frustrating figuring this new stuff out, but thanks to your vids it's made things a little easier to understand
It is a bit different from beta. Happy to help!
i'm frustrated that the new version doesn't have an import option in the stable version. we have to go back to the beta to customize it.
Yeah, it's strange. Hopefully it'll be added in future updates.

This the most helpful and straight forward video of how to import presets 😊

we can still switch between beta and new

what about items from booth that dont have a folder? like accessories?

how do you do this with accesories like hats?
When I paste it in and go to open it, it just doesn’t show up
do you know how to import accessories?, i have necklaces and earrings i wanna add to my character
Usually you'll need to use another program but you could try getting creative with hair textures for earrings and clothing layering for necklaces
How do I go to the old version. I can't figure it out
You'll need to download it, link is in the description (or click the three dots at the upper right when you first open new VRoid)
what hair is your avatar using??
I drew it strand by strand 🫣
idk why it doesnt work for me... cause all i download ir rar files.. and it doesnt wanna load up :(
You'll need to extract from the rar files first with a separate program like 7-zip
Kinda need help import from preset isn’t working for me
Which part are you having issues with?
I'm upset because I can't move my hats over into like extra or something... It would be nice if I could copy and paste freehand groups

after going into the pixiv folder should it show 2 differnt vroid studio folders?
Yes if you have old and new vroid. VRoidStudio is for the old version, VRoid Studio (with a space) is for the new.
