Thanks Dom I paper log. And plan to manually log on the pota site not sure how that works. Maybe you can show us soon to be first timers thanks for all you do 73 kd2vrz
The POTA manual log is a great feature! The idea is not to use it "real time," but to transcribe your paper log into it after the activation. I typically do casual activations with 10 to 20 contacts and it's easy to come home, sit in a comfortable chair, and transfer my log data into the manual log page on my laptop. Give it a try an I think you will find it easy to use. Another great feature provided by the wonderful POTA volunteer crew!
Good talk and good beginner advice!
I agree with all you said. Paper logging is much more simple and less stressful for me when i operate.
I agree. Less is more when operating portable. It's a lot more pleasurable experience when you aren't trying to re-create the ham shack in the field.

Beginner here. Thank you!!!!!
Thank you Dom. I haven't done an activation yet, just hunting, but I plan on paper log and upload at home.
Great advice Dom. Just a beginner with 5 activations all manually logged with 10-30 contacts per. One day I will try to have a QSO with you. VE1MDF
