It's easy to be frustrated and impatient, especially when you're stressed. But the day I was diagnosed with cancer and was freaking out, especially because I had recently moved to a new state and had no family or close friends here, and my thoughts were reeling about what I would do if I needed a lot of help--a checkout clerk was kind to me, and it was such a small thing but because of my circumstances it had a HUGE impact. I can't remember what exactly she said, if anything, it may have just been her demeanor and smile, but I will never forget how it made me feel. I later heard a quote, something to the effect of "Be kind. Everyone you meet is going through some struggle you know nothing about." Words to live by, even though it's hard to remember in our day-to-day lives.

I have been very fortunate; it's been about 17 years, hard to believe. I had surgery, radiation, and a really great support group, in addition to lots of meditation/visualization.
All it takes is to always smile & say hello to all those we meet in our daily lives because it's that acknowledgement that can make all the difference in their lives that may build their self esteem & self worth within themselves let's do it!!!
My Dad always said " no matter how bad you feel, there is always someone out there that feels worse. So be thankful to God for the blessings you have, and to pray for those who aren't as fortunate as you are. This one of the tools I use to stave off depression and severe anxiety.

I've been in a similar situation. when my brother was hanging out w/ bad people, they told him to do and take bad things. and that impacted the whole family, especially me. I became paranoid about the people around me, and got teased and bullied because I was paranoid, and my brother doing bad stuff. when my mom came to school with me, she made the bullies cry cuz they felt so bad. so don't judge people cuz you don't know what's happening in their life.
I was thinking about this the other day when 2 salespeople treated me kind of indifferently when I tried to chat with them. Everybody is going through something, so show a little kindness to others. It goes a long way!

Damn! I never would have guessed, that at 1:12 pm today, that I would be flooding my chest with tears. I am going to show this to so many people, if their willing that is. There are so many self absorbed people around me. I wish THEY had a way of realizing that their petty problems are nothing compared to people with legitimate hardships and sadness. I may not be a Millionaire in money but we are comfortable through hard work. Working long hours almost took me twice in 2016. I Retired in 2003 @ 55 as I was too ill to continue, yet the lessons I learnt in all those years until now when I am starting to heal at last is the love of my Margaret the support of my Family and the skills of our medical staff in Australia is a priceless gift that is given freely and in most cases ( not mine ) it is taken for granted with no thanks given.I thank God every day for giving me one of His Angels to love me and care for me. I cherish every day God has given me and I pray I will try to repay Him in every way I can. If you too have a loving Partner, a caring Family and a relationship with Christ and God you are truly Blessed. I wish you all your share of that loving relationship, may you all find Peace and Prosperity in Life.

I think it's about UNDERSTANDING THE BIG PICTURE. we all have problems. to be so self involved and not see from someone else's eyes. or never to walk in someone else's shoes. TO UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ACT AND TREAT OTHERS THE WAY THEY DO. Several years ago, on a very hot Summer day I was getting out of my truck when I accidently knocked over my bag of groceries that spilled onto the parking lot. A couple of young men helped me pick it up. They were obviously homeless. I gave them each a dollar, and offered them a couple of ice cold beers I had just bought. They were very nice and thanked me. Two years later, in a different parking lot, a smiling young man walked up to me and handed me two cold beers. He just said, "Thank You! I'm doing good now!", and got in his old car and drove off with a big grin and a wave. My friend who was with me thought that was weird, until I tearfully explained that two years ago that man was homeless. I was so touched that he remembered me! It takes so little to show compassion to others.

I needed this tonight... Thank you to all that made this happen. God sends blessings of knowledge when needed and prayed for. The trick is to be open to actually hearing his message and to go forth with that knowledge daily.
We all need compassion for others. I have tried my whole life to help others that are less fortunate than I. Even in my present situation where I am losing my home I have offered a room for the homeless total strangers or just people needing a helping hand. Why do I do it? It's because when dealing with my own struggles it makes me feel good to help others. So it's a selfish act, I am helping them to help myself.
Wow...that's deep! Yeah...the power of LOVE by just being able to have a caring and considerate heart...the world would be a much happier place to live in!

It's easy to be frustrated and impatient, especially when you're stressed. But the day I was diagnosed with cancer and was freaking out, especially because I had recently moved to a new state and had no family or close friends here, and my thoughts were reeling about what I would do if I needed a lot of help--a checkout clerk was kind to me, and it was such a small thing but because of my circumstances it had a HUGE impact. I can't remember what exactly she said, if anything, it may have just been her demeanor and smile, but I will never forget how it made me feel. I later heard a quote, something to the effect of "Be kind. Everyone you meet is going through some struggle you know nothing about." Words to live by, even though it's hard to remember in our day-to-day lives.

I've been in a similar situation. when my brother was hanging out w/ bad people, they told him to do and take bad things. and that impacted the whole family, especially me. I became paranoid about the people around me, and got teased and bullied because I was paranoid, and my brother doing bad stuff. when my mom came to school with me, she made the bullies cry cuz they felt so bad. so don't judge people cuz you don't know what's happening in their life.
This is what we all need to know to think everyday that someone else might be having a bad

Damn! I never would have guessed, that at 1:12 pm today, that I would be flooding my chest with tears.
I am going to show this to so many people, if their willing that is.
There are so many self absorbed people around me. I wish THEY had a way of realizing that their petty problems are nothing compared to people with legitimate hardships and sadness.

I Retired in 2003 @ 55 as I was too ill to continue, yet the lessons I learnt in all those years until now when I am starting to heal at last is the love of my Margaret the support of my Family and the skills of our medical staff in Australia is a priceless gift that is given freely and in most cases ( not mine ) it is taken for granted with no thanks given.I thank God every day for giving me one of His Angels to love me and care for me. I cherish every day God has given me and I pray I will try to repay Him in every way I can. She said when you see someone you think has a perfect life, chances are you don't know the whole story. I have never forgotten her words of wisdom.

I think it's about UNDERSTANDING THE BIG PICTURE. we all have problems. to be so self involved and not see from someone else's eyes. or never to walk in someone else's shoes. TO UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ACT AND TREAT OTHERS THE WAY THEY DO. To understand the reason for there actions. the bigger picture. to know why people are doing what there doing is the start to understanding how we can help not only them but ourselves as well.

Several years ago, on a very hot Summer day I was getting out of my truck when I accidently knocked over my bag of groceries that spilled onto the parking lot. A couple of young men helped me pick it up. They were obviously homeless. I gave them each a dollar, and offered them a couple of ice cold beers I had just bought. They were very nice and thanked me. Two years later, in a different parking lot, a smiling young man walked up to me and handed me two cold beers. He just said, "Thank You! I'm doing good now!", and got in his old car and drove off with a big grin and a wave. My friend who was with me thought that was weird, until I tearfully explained that two years ago that man was homeless. I was so touched that he remembered me! It takes so little to show compassion to others.
If only everyone would open they're eyes to reality and to realize others needs&troubles! "OPEN THE EYE'S TO MY HEART" is really a powerful way to say this!👁️👁️ 💓👁️👁️

I think this video could be even more powerful if it was redone with a better camera and actors. The message is definitely very strong but it could be even better if given the chance to be done professionally.

This is an excellent video that I wish everyone would watch.
We all need compassion for others. I have tried my whole life to help others that are less fortunate than I. Even in my present situation where I am losing my home I have offered a room for the homeless total strangers or just people needing a helping hand. Why do I do it? It's because when dealing with my own struggles it makes me feel good to help others. So it's a selfish act, I am helping them to help myself.

A lot of people NEED those glasses!! Simple, just be kind to everyone, DON'T JUDGE anyone! EVERYONE struggles and has life pain! Someone driving slow may be in terrible pain even though they don't look like it! Have compassion!
