Title is misleading, in order to compare new M4 and old one you need to talk about the new one. Hardly a mention. Why didn't you just say this is a review of the old m4 convertible?
You guys always say the car is not fun or boring or average but you are basically cruising around town at a very low speed……………..Why not take it to the Track where you can actually or really drive it in a real Track situation then you will see if it is fun or not. BMW readily admits the M4 is an all-purpose machine meant to be the Daily Driver you want it to be when you are just driving normally around town and in that what car really feels special just driving normally at a low speed? (rhetorical) However, take it out for some real spirited driving next time when you do your review then you would have a more realistic review as to whether or not it is fun or not?

In my opinion, if you've driven the 2nd gen for a while, the 1st gen looks very very dated.

There is a grab handle on the inside of the trunk lid to close the lid without leaving fingerprints.
3.8 sec is a coupe version . Convertible is 4.2 sec because of roof weight.
No need to put it in d before parking. If you push the start stop button twice it goes into park

It would have been interesting to see some action on faster twisties rather than launching around town streets. Looks a great daily driver though.

I thought the same thing, had my F83 brand new from 2018-2023. However, had to pull the trigger on a 2020 F82! Much happier with my decision. :)
