I still think the short yardages are terrible on this Sim. Those 40 yard pitches are so off with the calibration these guys are missing em often. Overall just seems like lower quality golf. Flubbed and bladed chips, missed putts from like 5ft just make it feel too casual
You're just seeing every shot from a small number of golfers who are playing normal. Its not a live TV tournament where only the players playing their absolute best are shown. This is actually how they play most of the time
They should be pitching onto the real green from anything below 50yrds. Take out a couple of rows of seats to allow it maybe?. Looks pretty empty anyway.

There was one point where one of the players openly said "I have to hit it so far right to get it to draw' Tiger looks completely lost majority of the time. Seriously, not a good look for Full Swing. Considiering TIger plugs this launch monitor, you'd think he'd know how his swing looks like on it. I'm willing to bet he doesn't even use one going by what I"ve seen so far. I shouldn't have to mention how stupid the 'Spear' hole is. Who is designing these holes? Besides that, at least last night's match was entertaining and not a snorefest

LivGolf is to thank for this y'all. Regardless of how you feel about the Liv Tour, they are the reason that TGL is happening. Competition in the market in this case has served the game, and the fans well too.

I thought this thing was on Tuesday. Not a super huge fun although I spend most of my time in a simulator during the winter. This match up is appealing. Phil and Bryson are 2 guys that would excel in this format. Bryson is a yapper and Phil can smack talk with the best of them.
a video featuring woods and mcilroy in my life has never felt so wary to click into, or unsatisfying by the end. I think the curiosity clicks are over now though with TGL- utterly missable stuff this
I love the concept and love being able to see Tiger play. But my god, these recaps are hard to follow for someone that has not seen the whole thing. There is no connection between shots, and I have no idea what's going on at any point during this video, it's just random shot that I'm watching and it's a pain. I really hope TGL will become better at communication if it really wants to compete with LIV in the youtube landscape.

Good lord this tech needs some tweaks. Especially from like 40-60 yards lol. These guys drill those shots 8 days a week. They are not flying it 20 yards past the hole like a weekend golfer.
How is this every shot? We see tiger drive, the announcer says let’s see if they can go it is 2, next you see he putt doing in. It isn’t watchable. I am in the UK military and have to get up at 4am to watch it and there is no replay on BFBS. What’s the point if you cannot watch every shot. It’s like watching the football but only seeing when the ball gets into the 18 yard box.
The full swing monitors obviously are off , Rory has 8 mph more ball speed on the first hole , and tiger and him hit it almost exactly the same distance …. Then on the spear , Rory was 14*** mph faster with his ball speed and only was 2 yards closer into the green … he should’ve been about 30 closer 😂 at least on the speed slot hole you could see the gap , Rory had 12 mph more ball speed and carried it another 20/25 yards , but if he hit farther left and caught the right slot , it would’ve been. 400 yards instead of only being 2 yards past tigers
Yeah astro turf isn't as forgiving as real grass. chipping is the biggest change. Gotta cleanly scoop the ball with no ground contact. even tiger struggles with that part

I have a full sim setup in my garage and I also have trouble with “feeling” the distance on pitch shots

Yes it uses an array of cameras, radars and lasers to calculate the ball speed and rpm of the ball to predict its flight path.
The camera sensors measure spin rate, angle of you club, it's actually pretty cool to see it
