First korean TV show that was subbed that played on nhk. Korean media just continue to grow since then.

The thing about the images that are different is that the typical image of a Korean guy, is a slim muscular build with a doll like face, while the image of Americans is a gruff more muscular man, with chest hair and a good jaw line. Koreans also love Japanese people and Japanese culture. In Korea, many Japanese animations are shown on TV and there are many Japanese restaurants on the streets. And as anyone who has served in the military knows, South Korea and Japan are very close to each other in terms of security. The reason why South Korea focused on the army and Japan focused on the navy was because each side assumed that they would help each other. (It is like a type of military union where each side compensates for each other's weaknesses.) In fact, countries that are this close culturally, security-wise, and economically to eachothers are rare on earth. If we look at it objectively, South Korea and Japan have a very close and special relationship. (But unfortunately, the media sometimes creates misunderstandings between us sadly haha)
