I've been a synth programmer for many years. I know I only need to watch a 14min video from Matt to fully understand what the synth can do and how it can sound, in the right hands. I don't need to see any other launch videos, this is the one. Thanks for cutting through the waffle.

I’ve already mentioned it elsewhere, but MylarMelodies nailed it from a sound designer perspective. In fact, his demos are always a cut above for understanding what the possibility’s of a synth are. Matt Johnson is always going to make beautiful music in his synth demos, but MylarMelodies is always the one who’s going show how weird and wild a synth can get.

Now in the middle of 50, It's hard for me to fully express, how glad I'm about the fact, I eventually can afford an 8 voice analog Moog synth. Never thought this would come true one day. It's a dream. The unit will be shipped in 8-10 weeks. 😊
Your groovy playing skills are a great inspiration for me. The MUSE sounds so mellow and rich and can be so nasty and expressive as well. I love its vast range, the many different tones it can produce. It will be the perfect addition to my Moog Matriarch.
There are some heavy Ruyichi Sakamoto / David Sylvian vibes in this synth too. The design and layout is perfectly well thought out. And finally I'm glad, Moog is still in business and rocking. ❤
    Cheers

Thanks Matt for the video! ❤ Anyone who is interested, let me quickly highlight how this synth is unique or interesting IMO:
    - the LFOs, apart from the usual shapes, come with complex custom shapes (the "+" symbol above the waveform button)
    - in the dual VCOs there is a wavemix feature where you can set the balance of levels between pulse and triangle / saw (/which you can also mix freely!)
    - you can program a lot of generative behavior into the sequencer with gate, velocity and note chance / probability for more unpredictability
    - there's dual timbre addressing in the sequencer so it can play both timbres at once or only chosen notes for timbre A and B (which makes it more fun!)
    - in the mod matrix you can use functions to change the well-known shapes of sine, square LFOs into uniquely new ones, or create custom curves for envelopes / aftertouch response, etc.
    - the mixer allows for a clean mix of all analog sources but you can also use the overload slider to overdrive the signal like the classic Moog CP-3 mixer does
    - the delay works like vintage digital rack units in that it's highly configurable and can provide stereo delays with ping pong behavior, filtered multi-tap tape echo-style delays, or reverb + dreamy chorused-diffusion trails. Generally it's a sonic playground for time-based effects.
    Thank you Moog!!!

The legend of Jexus is that each time he demos a synthesizer, a new universe is created from a big bang that echos from speakers located somewhere in eastern Europe and morphs into its own quantum reality by the time the speakers blow, which must be every video because I can't think of another reason why his videos end ;)

The pricing on this isn't bad at all, considering everything here. I love the layout of all the modules, the arpegiator is packed full of usable functions, and the delay/reverb seems to be a homerun as far as built-in effects.
Everything I've seen and heard about this synth from videos on UA-cam has convinced me that, among modern analog poly synths, the Muse is a real winner and a very special instrument.

It’s very hard to describe in words if you haven’t been in the room with a Moog, but the sound is somehow a living thing - like playing an acoustic instrument. Admittedly 99% of the people listening to your music won’t hear the difference but as a musician they are so rewarding and inspiring to play with. It is more the ‘qualities’ of the sound than ‘what it can do’.

Thanks Matt - fab demo. I was so chuffed to see you've already got one and really enjoyed the video and its musical snippets showing how capable the new synth is. And I loved the quick bit of Running Up That Hill especially. Very cool!

InMusic has done more to revitalize Moog over the past year than the previous owners did in the past 30 years. Both the Labyrinth and the Muse look to be excellent additions to their lineup, and it feels like they're making a serious effort to honor Moog's legacy and earn the trust of their customers. Hopefully they keep it up, but right now it looks like things might turn out much better than many of us predicted.

hearing the pieces in this video, I think the muse is very well named. Your musicianship and taste are incredible. truly an inspiration and among my favoriite synth and keys players, and likely, low key one of the most influencial of our generation.
I hope moog sent you this synth free of charge, cause if anyone deserves it, you're showing the world that this person is you.
much love, you're one of the people I hope to someday meet and jam with :)
