Victor Davis Hanson is an American classicist, military historian, columnist, and farmer. He has been a commentator on contemporary politics for the National Review and The Washington Times and is currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
In addition to writing hundreds of articles, book reviews and newspaper editorials, Hanson is also the author of twenty-four books and hosts a regular podcast series, 'The Victor Davis Hanson Show'. Hanson was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2007 by President George W. Bush, and was a presidential appointee in 2007-08 on the American Battle Monuments Commission. His latest book, The Dying Citizen, was published in October 2021. And his next book, soon to be released on May the 7th this year, The End of Everything, How Wars Descend Into Annihilation.

@@jumblestiltskin1365 i find in politics, it's a global thing where people spend so much time worrying about the clowns in other regions and apologizing or defending the clowns of their own. this is even down to the local level where people in California are saying a Senator from Texas should be voted out of office and vice versa. But the U.S. is a representative democracy (Republic) and trying to influence who represents others and not yourself is the least democratic thing one can do. this holds true for political leaders intervening in other countries' elections as well. I didn't agree with Donald Trump on much during his presidency but one thing I approved of is that the U.S. has no business being in NATO and the only reason NATO allies want the U.S. to stay in, is that they base "contributions" on population and GDP instead of proximity. the U.S. is nothing more than a sugar daddy to NATO without the happy endings.
The big officials go after big people, but the little officials may go after you.

I don't get the "competency " of Trump in the title. The slip of Trump is normal for all of us. The comments people don't like are because people hate hearing plain truth coming in an abrasives way. The media always takes them out of context or meaning

Anyone could have seen the documents in the garage. Maid service, lawn guys, contractors, Hunter, family acquaintances, etc. The fact that nothing by law was pursued, tells us all we need to know.

“lack of evidence”, per the report. It’s easy to educate yourself rather than listen to talking heads.

❤....the reason we forgive Donald Trump is because he is UNDER alot of STRESS with trying to campaign n stand trail in courts.....he's flying all over....he's allowed to mess up once in awhile.....❤
trump dose not make mistakes very often even with the hardships and stress inducing things too often. it is very rare that trump makes any speaking mistakes and he has never been confused and not known how to exit a stage as biden has more than a few times.... and too trump has zero physical walking or movement problems unlike biden who has had more than a few falls in the 3 years (actually less than 3 full years though as one of his last falls was months ago) hes been president.... falls happen and with most more so often at a senior age such as biden, but, in his case the falls indicate his geriatric age and mental cognition decline. since biden fell on the stairs of air force one a couple times early in his presidency they and or himself too do not even allow him to go up or down the main stair case in the front of the jet.... sure i get that the stairs are high and steep, but never since his couple falls has he gone up or down them. he gets into and out of airforce one using the back stairs that are less than half the hight/length of the stairs in the front.... the back stairs are likely before biden only used to get stuff and things in and out of the jet....
point is along with bidens mental cognition decline he also has had physical ability decline too..... while trump has had neither of those things and is with it as ever.

The problem with VDH is that he is so biased he seems incapable of assessing the evidence before him.
Hur's report stated:
"Mr. Biden turned in classified documents to the National Archives and the Department of Justice, consented to the search of multiple locations including his homes, sat for a voluntary interview, and in other ways cooperated with the investigation," the report said.
It was that cooperation, combined with how the investigation began and the evidence of his knowledge and intent, that set the cases apart, according to Hur.
Trump, on the other hand, is accused of falsely claiming he was cooperating fully with the FBI and had turned over all documents sought by investigators, even though he continued to keep dozens of them.
"[A]fter being given multiple chances to return classified documents and avoid prosecution, Mr. Trump allegedly did the opposite. According to the indictment, he not only refused to return the documents for many months, but he also obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and then to lie about it,"

Biden kept this stuff for five years, and then, only after deciding to prosecute Trump, his lawyers discover it, so he then gives it back - and that washes away the crime? Please, seek help.

The way I see it, there are three mutually exclusive options.
A. Biden is too mentally impaired to be tried and therefore is too mentally impaired to be in office.
B. Biden is mentally fit to be in office and therefore is fit enough to be tried.
Because the mental threshold for the office is higher than that required to be indicted, there is a third option:
C. Biden lacks the mental capacity to be in office but has sufficient facility to be held to account for his actions in a court of law
