Victor Davis Hanson is an American classicist, military historian, columnist, and farmer. He has been a commentator on contemporary politics for the National Review and The Washington Times and is currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
In addition to writing hundreds of articles, book reviews and newspaper editorials, Hanson is also the author of twenty-four books and hosts a regular podcast series, 'The Victor Davis Hanson Show'. Hanson was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2007 by President George W. Bush, and was a presidential appointee in 2007-08 on the American Battle Monuments Commission. His latest book, The Dying Citizen, was published in October 2021.

I still blame the FEDs for this, because in the end they benefit by either buying off the failed banks cheaper or something. The fed can print credit as long as someone will borrow it into existence, but they cannot print product (or production).
People are going through real life crisis, think now isn't a time to point fingers. Everyone should always be prepared for the unexpected to happen. That is how randomness works.
You're right! Now that the market is in decline, I know what I want to do, but I'm not sure which stocks to buy, which investments would yield the best profits, etc. The potential gain is greater due to the risk, and professionals are better at negotiating such exact contracts. Right?
Very true, I started investing in 2018 with no prior knowledge or expertise, and by the end of 2019 I had earned a profit of approximately $750k. I had simply been following the guidance provided to me by my financial adviser. This shows that you don't even need to be a great investor or put in a lot of effort; all you actually need is a professional to help you.

The wall street journal had an article a few weeks back that was shocking to me. It broke the American population up into fifths by income. It then looked at % employment between those quintiles. The bottom 1/5th is 36% employed and makes on average $6900 per year but after taxes and social benefits nets $48000 per year. The 2nd 5th had 85% employment and made $32,000 per year. After taxes and social benefit netting $50,000. The 3rd 5th is 92% employed and after taxes nets $61,000. Seems like our government is doing a pretty good job of leveling the playing field. Makes me wonder why people work so hard if they can go on the assistance and live almost as well.

Might be same article...top 20% of income earners pay 84% of all income tax. The result is earning $180k per year nets barely more than $100k. While that may seem like a lot to someone earning and keeping $60k, it's a punch in the gut to have a husband and wife work decade's and pay school loans only to lose such a huge percentage to the govt.
The greatest challenge of my life by far is - now. However I believe " that all things work together for good for those who love God."

There's an equivalent recruiting crisis within the British RAF, but this is down to quotas for women and non-white categories remaining unfilled. White men who want to fly jets are being turned away for reasons of gender and skin colour.

On the subject of student loans, our mistakes go back decades. Our government should never have gotten involved in the student loan business. The runaway cost of education would not have occurred, and useless college degrees would not have been produced.

Excellent video Victor. I also enjoy your contributions to The Epoch Times. I am 66 years old, white, straight, married and a Republican voter. I've worked hard my entire life and have been successful in my career. I obey the laws and support the concept of ":Law and Order:" So you can imagine all the hateful and nasty names that leftists have for me and all of the other "forgotten men and women".
I hate to say it, but it's probably gonna get worse before it gets better. Even with a new president and republican elections, it's gonna take a few years to save our beautiful country. God help us all, God Bless America 🇺🇸 !
