To call this "country" the United States of America is a joke. The answer is no, we will never be united again. Watch what happens in the 2024 presidential election, which ever side loses will not recognize the winner as a legitimate president. Hillary called Trump an illegitimate president and Trump calls Biden an illegitimate president, this time political violence on an unprecedented scale will follow the election.

Australia is going the same way, the divide between rural and urban people is getting greater every day and the divide between the university educated who see themselves as born to lead and every day Australians who have bills to pay and actually produce things is enormous.
It is as though the city people have no idea where their food and wealth comes from and are perfectly willing to sacrifice both for their green dream. If this was effecting only them it would be perfectly acceptable, unfortunately that is not the case.

Yeah but the current polling pretty clearly is only showing dissatisfaction with Biden, especially in Pennsylvania Wisconsin and Michigan, I don't think especially Wisconsin or Michigan is in play. The border will probably let Trump flip Georgia and Arizona, but unless Nebraska changes that single electoral college option he still unfortunately must win one of those three northern states and that's going to be a tough tough battle. I think the courts in Pennsylvania will keep easy access for the Democrats to win, I think the progressive Middle Eastern anger vote will come home and deliver Michigan to Biden, in Wisconsin has been pushing left for years in their elections so I don't think he's going to win that either. Republicans are way too confident and seem to look at these poles as anything important when really if you look at the electoral map Trump has an extremely narrow path. If Nebraska changes that rule and allows that single electoral vote to go red, Trump can easily get to a tie which then he would win the election through the state election in such a scenario. It's his best course and last month the Nebraska Republicans refused to take up that option, so that's the thing to watch Easily as much as polls

Unfortunately, the US we grew up in officially died last week and I don’t see us reuniting. The free world died and the US is officially a communist country now. The flames of justice just blew up and the fire is now out of control. When I travel abroad, some people have asked if I am from the states. That is the new term, the states of America.
We have drastically different beliefs that either side will never accept. I admit, I will never accept the extreme gender nonsense, sexualizing other people’s kids, prioritizing funding illegals over Americans, flying and/or replacing another country’s flag on US soil and the people who are pushing marxism, communism and socialism, destroy the constitution and Supreme Court.
Also, look at how one party wants dominance and control over everything and have temper tantrums when don’t get what they want like a court ruling, so they ignore it or attack that institution or persons involved but when conservatives don’t like what they do or a ruling, Dems want them to shut up about it. That is not good for this country.

They are lied to by mainstream media and easily swayed by demagogues. They have a federal government that has been captured by corporate and other wealthy oligarchs. Their elections offer little choice on major issues, such as war and peace, taxation and budgeting. They live in economic peril between unemployment and inflation. They are burdened by historically unprecedented public debt and their currency is in decline. Our founders created a nation that would let the states primarily govern themselves. The national government had specific tasks and left the rest to the states
    And it worked
    Not perfectly of course
    But 13 to 39 to 50 states
What a great experiment something that works you emulate something that doesn’t you avoid
Alas with success comes a certain breed of person
Hey I’m really better than you and I and like minded people should be in charge
So starting with Teddy Roosevelt we had presidents and their parties expand the federal government to the point it’s a leviathan
A huge cannon shooting our nations treasury into the maw of whatever donor or special interest
Just depends which party is controlling the cannon
Our 50 states are just names now
A third worship the altar of big daddy government
A third want to go back to federalism
And a third don’t care and just want to be left alone

Our history indicates that we tend to unite when we have to face a crisis. And, unfortunately, those crises seem to be wars. However, we face a climate crisis that is just as great as any war and if this crisis could somehow be recognized for the urgency that it requires there is a glimmer of hope that we may unite, yet again, and save our planet and humanity itself. But we are running out of time and we continue to let those who have the most major role in the crisis, the oil companies, continue to divide us for their greedy monetary gains.

The climate crisis will never unite us like a war. Why? a)Because the elites who tell us that this is the end of the world haven't altered their lifestyles in the slightest, and b) because while this is portrayed as a global problem, the world's largest polluter (China) is held to no standards.
