I’m wondering, is there a screen saver option for retro pie where it will run videos examples of the games? So if I go through the process of downloading videos to the raspberry pi, as examples for all of my games, can they just run on random and then when you move the keyboard, it goes back into the council.
The video clip display is usually an option within the theme settings, but you'll need to download the clips to get them to show. In the scraping system you need to scrape from a source that has the video clips. Quite often this is part of a subscription to the source.
WiFi makes it easier as the themes will just download and install but I think you can download on another computer and simply copy over the files if you want to.
Hi there. Not sure if I missed it. But I am assuming that I have to connect my retro pi to the internet using Ethernet cable? Not sure if you mentioned it. Thanks!
Hi. Sorry, I think I covered the network setup in the installation video. Yes, you'll need an Internet connection to get this to work. Hope you've got it going!
I think most of the themes can be set to play video clips, but you need to get hold of them and integrate them into RetroPie. Some of the scraping sites provide videos which should slot straight in or you can download clip packages from the internet.
Hi. UA-cam doesn't like it when you tell people where to download the files so that's why we all point you to the search engines. I did however make a very interesting coding tutorial that you'll probably find very useful - ua-cam.com/video/oPg3iqKmDUM/v-deo.html
This was great! This worked for most of my games. it also made retropie look awesome and easier to navigate. For the ones that are still missing, do you know of a solution?
You can create your own media files for games. There is a naming convention for the filenames and you'll need to work out how to import them (I think it's fairly straight forward), but you will be able to fill in the blanks.
Thanks for the video, made it easy to get the retropie looking nice 👍
Glad I could help
You articulate well, thanks for your help

Great tutorial🤘🏻🔥✨ Thank You👾
Happy to help!
Worked perfectly. Thank you!
Glad it helped
Ahhh my 3rd video from you in 2 days. Again super helpful - thanks (can you tell i've just built my retropie and i'm fine tuning it?)
Great to have you on the team. I hope it's all coming together OK.

Some of the emulation systems run an attract mode to do this. I'm not sure if RetroPie does though.
Dear god I wish I'd found this video months ago...
I hope your setup is looking great now!
How do I get a theme that plays video clips of each game? I have seen this before but not sure how to get it.

Is there a theme where it plays a demo of the game, or a video showing the gameplay?

Awesome
Thanks.
it says like no storage to put them or something
Check if your SD card is full.
Where do you get all of your roms from I am new to the whole retropie system and I have been looking for good websites for all the consoles
