    Today I decide to learn everyday and implement weekly one teaching from your videos until my bench improved by 10kg. Thank you so much for your videos 💪.

    I'm going back to the gym now. I've done 2 plates but have regressed so much but hopefully I can go back there and more. This channel is so underrated.

    Love this! Gonna try this light weight trick you suggest next time. Just like you said, the leg drive can sometimes be confusing.

      definitely one of the hardest techniques to get down. Sometimes you just have to be patient and dedicated to it.

    The throw was probably the best piece of advice I’ve gotten on my bench press. Especially since im fairly strong for a woman but I’m not very powerful. That cue has helped me a lot especially today, probably the best I’ve done on my bench in a while, did 4 sets of 3 reps at 135lbs. Btw I’m about 140lbs woman.

      So awesome. A lot of people think to press, but if you can turn it around to a "throw" it can be a game changer!

    Thanks Jen. If you ever do the video again, it may help to see an angle from the side. From the front, it's harder to see the movement of your glutes relative to the bench. Some people may raise their hips with their butt rising, too? Personally if my hips rise as much as yours do, my butt may rise, too. But again it's hard to see where your glutes are throughout the movements from this angle. Cheers!

    great format in short videos! shows her professionalism as a world record bencher and a teacher combined. there is a youtube short squat video with you featured on it stating you do 1.5x 1rm weight walk out and hold for 10-15 seconds once a week. Is this true? I tried doing just 1.2x and it was brutal.

    • @132poundsofpower
      @132poundsofpower  Рік тому +1

      Yes, the bigger you are the more you probably need to lower that coefficeint to maybe 1.2. But for smaller the 1.5 works. The more you do it, the less brutal it becomes :)

    Thank you! I'm getting red lights constantly for butt lift, now I know I'm pushing the wrong direction! Gonna practice pushing away instead of down on the explosion 💥

    Thank you for the videos. They are helpful even to an old man like myself. You have a great group of people in your group there. I do have an equipment question. What brand of collars do you use on your barbell? Thanks again!

    Which cue would you recommend? Bend the bar on both the descent and assent? Pull the bar apart while lowering the bar and push the bar together when pushing the bar up? Should I internally rotate the shoulder joints when pushing the bar up?

    • @132poundsofpower
      @132poundsofpower  8 місяців тому +2

      I ust squeeze my last two fingers opposed to trying to pull anything. I rotate shoulders down on the set up and keep them there

    • @TheXavierSinghh
      @TheXavierSinghh 5 місяців тому

      @@132poundsofpowerwould love if you explain this, didn't understand if squeezing part is for pulling movement or pushing? Like when you bench squeeze you last two fingers and try to bend the bar outside may engage more lat.

    I never get the hold of this..whenecer i do this thing with legs i way more bad at lifting. Its like i concentrate more of my legs than the exercise

    • @132poundsofpower
      @132poundsofpower  8 днів тому

      @@DannyoRaiden there has a lot going on. It is hard to concentrate on so many things - might help to practice it with light weight for a while

    Your videos are filled with information but uncertain if some tips are for bench pressing and some are for powerlifting?

    • @132poundsofpower
      @132poundsofpower  Рік тому +1

      Well. They are for executing the bench press in the best possible way 😁

      Fair call. I suppose I was more thinking should ... be used for 1RM and ... be used for muscle gain etc.
      I did implement some of your advice tonight and my bench has never felt so good, thanks a bunch.@@132poundsofpower
