This was our premiere of this special rare title and the best place to play it for the first time was on our special concert full of awesome music of Alan Silvestri. It is almost 3 years. We hope you enjoyed it. If you want to support what we are doing, links are in the description including our special merchandise. :) Thank you for watching!
One of the most iconic musical scores every created. The impact of this composition is that it comes in at the end of the film after Chuck has left/escaped the island. During his time alone, all of the extraneous noise was edited out (except waves and wind where appropriate). No score, no birds. It increased the audience's sense of isolation. This orchestral masterpiece filed that emptiness and still emotes strong feelings when heard and remembered. Absolutely brilliant piece if cinema! I hope they play this when my ashes are scattered on the ocean.
It's one piece of movie scoring that moves me to tears. I don't know why it does it, I guess maybe it taps into an unresolved side of myself. It moves me if played well, and this performance did it well 👏
And i lost her all over again but greatfull she was with me on the Island and i know what i got to do now ,got to keep on breathing coz tomorrow the Sun will rise , who knows what the Tide could bring
While I loved the film it truly was lifted up by the score. Haunting, beautiful and sad in it's way, it's as if we are approaching the very gates of Heaven, but at the last moment we learn, it's not time.
You two obviously don’t understand the movie and Chuck’s character if you’re saying he should’ve fought for her and essentially broken up her family. He loved her too much to do that. Him doing that would’ve been selfish and he knew that. That’s why he moved on and let her continue her life in peace.
@@adamz0037 she said herself, I should have waited, but under pressure from her family she gave in and went on with her life and she married a guy which she not totally loved like chuck.

I'm sure there was a couple of watery eyed folk here. Stunning rendition. Haunting and conveys hope and loss.
this song made me cry over a damn ball... beautiful work.

Perfecto!!! Wilson come back!!!
This oboist is phenomenal. Truly depicts the singular ambiance of aloneness and deserted on an island. It pierces to fibers of one’s soul.
Gorgeous… Silvestri was an outstanding composer of his time.
The oboe, oh my, so beautiful! same with strings!...whole orchestra sounds amazing!
Such a beautiful piece...
It really is!
My goodness.. this is just magical
This music so adeptly follows the character's growth into a mature acceptance of the magic in life, well beyond our control, and beyond our loss.
Can you articulate what you mean?

Only wish him and Helen Hunt would have got married at the end 4 years later I hated that she stayed with the husband
I would have fought for her. She was the love of his life and visa versa.

@@adamz0037 it is easier to say like this right? What if we in his and her position. It's really difficult. Well done movie.
