you have 5-6 other big orchestra's with the same quality. Like the Royal Opera London, London Symphony Orchestra, Berliner Philharmoniker, Bayerisches Staatsorchester, etc. It depends on your personal taste, the head conductor and the management of this houses. Together the hire the musicians for the orchestra. It like a football team, you need a good coach, manager and players then you can play at the highest level like 4-5 other teams.
I bet to differ. See "The President's Own" Band conducted by Mr. Williams on "March of 1941". Impeccable timing and unison. (This version is my favorite of Jurassic Park, however.

Pretty much since I turned 30, I cannot make it past this note without tearing up. I’m sure some of it is nostalgia but I think Williams just really does some kind of musical alchemy there.
The most beautiful thing is seeing the musicians smile while they play. It shows that even for these trained professionals, used to play the most important and greates pieces of music, composed from the very best in history, this music and this man mean so much
At the end of this magnificent piece, notice his eyes as he guides his musicians and signals "the end" when he "flutters" his baton over his left shoulder. What a wonderful piece and you can just read his face when his musicians played every note of this masterpiece - just the way he envisioned it. Thanks you, Maestro. 💥
Holy Moly! How can Jurassic Park sounds so elegant! Just look at the composer's facial expression at the beginning. I believed John Williams himself cannot imagine his music can be played so beautifully and artistically. I clearly remember I went to the movie house twice, sitting at the front row, admiring this piece of music. Now with the nourishment from Vienna Philharmonic, the strings sounds so silky smooth, so elegant and so majestic. The performance no longer not sound like a music from a Hollywood movie, rather it becomes a "Golden hall-worthy" piece of music. I was deeply moved with tears. Steven Spielberg and T Rex will be moved with tears if they were sitting in there and listening.

I cry every single time
I love that John takes a moment, closes he’s eyes, and trusts the orchestra.
Hello
He pictured himself, back in 1993, composing a legendary score, for a legendary film.
Well, if you can't trust the Vienna Philharmonic ... who CAN you trust?
It is really beautiful, for this occasion, the perfect crystal of the miniature world that Williams gives us
No.. I think he just thought - this is what I always dreamt it would sound like when I composed it :-)
4:37 Trumpet may be majestic, but the Horn is heroic.
And mad props to the camera crew for always knowing exactly which group to focus on in this performance.
Sadly, most of the comments here don't recognize how insanely good the vienna philharmonic orchestra is. This level of perfection in nuance and timing can't be found anywhere else in the world.
I imagine it was immensely gratifying for Mr Williams to perform with them.
One day I will go. I don’t care what they play. Austrian Philharmonic is a bucket list item just waiting to be checked off.
I think long time fans of BPO, NYPO, CSO, LSO and other major orchestras will have major problem with your statement. I was fortunate enough to sit in Symphony Center listening to Mr. John Williams conducting CSO playing his own music in April 2019. So while I appreciate this VPO performance, I won't say this can't be found anywhere else on earth.
you have 5-6 other big orchestra's with the same quality. Like the Royal Opera London, London Symphony Orchestra,
Berliner Philharmoniker, Bayerisches Staatsorchester, etc.
I'm getting emotional by just looking at John himself conducting. He's almost 90 years old and hasn't lost his spark. He's still enjoying what he does, he still smiles at the orchestra and still has passion for these moments! It's wonderful to witness.
That's right. 90 years old next year.
And scoring Indy 5, I might add! If the movie isn't good, at least we can count on him to write an awesome score!
You know the movie ended up being pretty good to be honest@@sguinn91

Absolutely
Not sure if many of you caught this... but The deepest sign of respect from JW was given to the horn player in the beginning... a simple shutting of the eyes because that note was SO beautiful at :16 seconds... the horn player took just enough off of it to play it perfectly... THATS JW showing his deepest respect, bravo to that horn player.
Well i don’t know, to me the tune is slighty off and therefor Williams was shutting his eyes, either by embarrassment or disappointment.

Lucky I bet you miss those days
Experiencing this masterpiece played by the best orchestra in the world, conducted by its composer and living legend is just a gift. Thank you uploader.
@4:27 there is a guy in the audience wiping his tears. That says everything about the epicness and greatness of this piece.
This man laid the theme track to my childhood and I will be eternally grateful
On 1:05 you can actually see the music just floating in the air very smoothly. Beautiful!
What are you talking about
Isn’t that just the harp strings vibrating lmao
@@RobinsMusicit’s just a really cool shot looking at the musicians from behind. All of their body movements are in perfect sync with each other and the music as they perform.
I wish Williams had written a symphony based around those utterly glorious opening passages that are so uplifting. They are so brief and yet so moving and just leaves you yearning for more.
I’m 43. hopefully, I still have a long life ahead of me. I hear this play, and I think about me being 15 years old when Jurassic Park was released. Hearing this just brings tears to my eyes, and makes me wonder where all those years in between went. Nostalgia at its finest!
I know how you feel, old chap.
I don't think so

This. This is officially my favorite rendition of the Jurassic Park theme ever... and this is my favorite theme, no, favorite musical piece OF ALL TIME. If there is anyone who should be blessed with the gift of immortality, it is John Williams.
This is art. This is perfection. This is LEGENDARY.
"When the Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth ". Even the musicians were smiling which playing as they enjoys it, Long live the Jurassic park!🎉🎉🎉
