    Love that Milo lines is mentioning club forces. As you ramp up speed when trying to learn something new, it becomes really difficult to contend with the increasing club reaction forces. Martin Ayers really helps in this area for me. Both coaches want the player and the golf swing to do the same thing. Martin puts emphasis on the club reaction forces and Milo puts emphasis on the pivot. Watching both coaches and putting both concepts together in my swing has really helped me in the last few weeks.

    3:45, "you're putting the brakes on hard" --- what this means is that the front butt, leg, and foot are "catching" the fall of the body's center of mass that started falling or drifting or surfing off of the right leg while the backswing coil was still progressing. A millisecond or more 'fall' of the center of mass toward the target, starting during the backswing coil, leads to exponentially more momentum that must be caught and is defected up and back around behind the golfer. (gravity accelerates things at 9.8 meters per second *squared*) If this falling momentum, force, of the falling body is caught and the front butt and leg can deflect it up and back around behind the golfer, it creates more turning speed and more club speed etc. This is why old timers used to say, when someone really hit a ball hard -- "he really **leaned** on that one." That 'lean' or 'fall' is the sensation you have. You can Goldilocks this: increase the falling over toward the target during the backswing coil until you exceed your ability to 'catch it', then back off the amount of 'fall' a bit, till it is controlled. I think this is helpful because it gives you some conscious awareness of what the cerebellum is monitoring unconsciously, and how that fall and catch can be used to create speed without muscle contractions directed ball-ward or toward the target, through the handle of the club; those kinds of applications of muscle force with an intent to create force out toward the ball generally steepen the shaft, cause over the top, change swing plane, inconsistent strikes etc.

    Downswing is what 0.2 seconds? Thoughts = bad outcome? So I have to train/drill to instill 10000 times?

      You have to hit 10000 balls doing it correctly.
      It would take you centuries.
      But then you have to put it under pressure and handle bad scores whilst doing the move you want.
      It’s not the way to form a different motor pattern, obviously. You need to undertake deep practice and have a change in intention and a change in how you see other people moving the club. The last two are extremely difficult to grasp.
