Thank you for jumping on another Haxen Hunt Bow comparison! These two bows were on a list for a while to shoot up against each other! I was really excited to shoot the Hoyt Z1S after how I liked the last Twin Turbo they came out with.... now you'll have to watch to see how my first impressions really were with the Z1S. The Darton doesn't have the big name like Hoyt does with whats cool to shoot but honestly I was super surprised how well it shot.

Hoyt Z1S up against the Darton Prelude 32! Both great shooting bows and both producing fast speeds I wanted to put these two up against each-other!
Hope this quick video is able to help you decide which one you might be interested in buying!

This last year or so Darton have made a massive jump back up into the top 5 with some of the best compound bow archer's in the world...
First off, love your reviews/videos. I personally have not shot a Darton in the last few years so I cannot comment on their bows but the Hoyt is missing the lower limb dampener and is most likely not tuned. I have shot and owned almost all of the speed bows within the last few years and the Z1S is my favorite. I sold my Mathews V3X 33 to get the Z1S and “in my opinion” is a better shooting and feeling bow. First thing I did was built a set of strings and tuned/shimmed the bow and it shoots amazing. No hand shock, not quite as dead in the hand as the Mathews but there is no vibration. Very smooth draw and very quiet. That’s just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work.
There are so... many... great bows... Now I have to Obsess about the Darton Prelude.
Great review, thank you.
The Darton probably feels a little heavier because it has a SIGHT on it!
I did see in another review the z1s hit 97 . something on the decibel meter . Great video.
Love the hat buddy🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
One of the best🤘
Not a fan of anything below 34” ata. That being said, I’d hunt the Darton 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. Super impressed with everything about it.
Any chance to get some Athens bows on the channel?
I will have to try the Darton, but wonder if your Hoyt needed to tuned, mine feels vibration free
I noticed the noise suppressors on one of the bows is a lot closer to the riser than the other. Could that cause any issues?
The host sure didn't seem the faster bow
Why didn’t you have the lower limb dampener on the Hoyt?
Probably tried weighing without dampeners to see if factory specs were accurate and forgot to put it on again
HOYT did away with their limb dampeners on the 2024 bows.
Darton is great but rattles your teeth. If that Hoyt wasn't less vibe, someone didn't set the bow up right. Darton rattles more than any bow right now. Great bow and needs more R&D to locate the hot vibration areas and bridge them.
Tell me you never shot darton without telling me you never shot darton bows
@@RG_outdoors285 HaHa,,, I been shooting a Darton probably before you were old enough to draw a bow. I FORGOT more about Darton bows then people know. Stop assuming stupid stuf. The new Darton rattles too much. Shoot it against a Hoyt PSE or Mathews, see for yourself.
I DID !! Darton is $800 less too in price.
@@michaelrosa5410 son I'm going on 54 years of age been shooting point sticks before compounds was popular had a darton bow in my hands in the 80's and still no other bow has been able to get it out and I shoot everything I can get my hands on.
@@RG_outdoors285 Bro I owned a Darton Lightning machined magnesium riser bow in the 80's. I'm 65 BTW and still have my first hunting license from 1970. Darton always been a excellent bow. But they are not a Hoyt, or a even a Mathews. Todays Darton is plenty fast. But it definitely needs to be engineered to emit less hand shock. It might be the bare grip, it might be bridging ? But certainly the new Black Eagle made Darton needs more R&D. I have faith in Darton, always will. They just aren't there right now,,,,,close and on the right path.
