I bought the alpha x 30.i only have a 28 inch dl.i shoot a 453 grain arrow at 70 pounds and my speed was 289.the difference in your speed to mine is because I'm at the max end of the 2nd mod.great video.
I have purchased every new Mathews flagship bow for the last 8 years. This year i bought the RX8 it came down to the draw cycle to me. Both are great bows for sure.
I was dead set on the on the lift 33 but after shooting the hoyt alpha and the mathews lift I went with the alpha, It felt better to me, Both are great bows......
Great video. Can we get Lift 29 vs RX8 30 at 80lb? Cannot find any videos with 80lb speed tests! Crazy! All UA-cam videos make them head to head with 70lb and no 80lb review. I think more people are looking to use 80 than reviewers realize.
My only suggestion is at the end, let us know if you had an overall favorite. We understand it’s just your opinion, and there are no “bad” bows, especially at this price point. But it’s nice to hear an opinion. But thanks, good review!

Both are Sweet!!! For me it’s the Hoyt but they are neck and neck you can’t go wrong either way in my opinion.

Shot them both. Alpha X is DIRTY! MY 29" draw hits top of mod and it hauls ass. Shooting 308 fps with my hunting arrow🥵🥵🥵
Alpha X was a lot smoother. Feels more solid, the Alpha X 33 came home with me .
Hoyt by far. The draw and grip way better than the Matthews. Hoyt also holds better, probably due to weight difference.
I recently got the lift 33. And absolutely love it !

Waiting on 80lb Mathews mods
I would like to see a review on the Alpha X draw cycle set on 75%. I like a higher holding weight but don’t want a jumpy valley.
CANT WAIT TO GO TO SEMINOLE AND PICL ONE OF THOSE UP
When will you be testing the alpha x 33?
I like the Hoyt better, but in reality it's all down to personal preference. You can't go wrong with either one.
Sold my Alpha X for the Elite Ethos. Best bow I’ve ever shot

I may pick up a used alpha x next year. But i think the rx7 ultra will still be a contender when im ready for a new bow
Did you do a video on the longer ata?
Both nice bows but until they can make simpler tuning with out shims/spacers and bow press then they have little journey ahead of them.
