You should make a building on it where the walls follow the same ripple pattern. So that when you "expand the plate" the building will get a cool exploding and imploding effect.

I’ve been folding origami for years (even the rose in my profile pic)… If the pulling motion you just did was replicated with a sheet of paper, it would most likely rip. The key to most origami models is actually starting with more surface area than you need and then compressing it using precise folds. Whereas here, your legos are able to expand without breaking due to individual pieces spreading the tension evenly. It’s an incredible feature of these lego designs that I feel like many people are overlooking. I really enjoy your work! :)

Hi Jeff, rarely I've commented below a UA-cam video, even though I'm an addicted "video consumer". I find your creations truly inspiring and especially this, as it shows how different from usual a human mind is able to work and think. That teaches a lot. It's also noticeable how clear your creations reflect your way to think beyond the normal boundaries. This creation in particular made me think: "that's the perfect metaphor for how we always should set our minds: be able to enlarge, wander perhaps, but always be able, when necessary, to recompose and reconnect to our inner core".

First 90%: I have no idea what this has to do with origami or where this is going.

Each bit says "yay! I'm a part of something larger!" × ♾️
This gives me an image of the Creator speaking over the void; weaving the Everything.👏

This is kind of what being a video game dev feels like, except if we break something its usually reversable. Very cool build.

6:40 finally we are done building. Also the snake patterns you covered looked cool when you combined big chunks near beginning. It felt like a long build I'm excited what you do with t the piece.

Following your builds has been an incredible journey. It’s like a high level math course; I understood the first examples but now it’s getting harder to wrap my head around all the moving parts. Truly genius!

May I suggest (this would be CRAZY) lubricant each of the pivoting joints, making it a LOT easier to manipulate, then maybe it could be something 3D, given it's still easy enough to work with. This mechanical creation is AWESOME!

You could do a much bigger version of this with white and red pieces to recreate a playing card getting shot in half. It's an iconic enough image to make it really cool.
