You should make a building on it where the walls follow the same ripple pattern. So that when you "expand the plate" the building will get a cool exploding and imploding effect.
I straight up said "nope" in sheer disbelief when we got to the end of this one. I was so mesmerized by the nice pattern of the board that I forgot about the pure witchcraft we are meant to expect from these videos.
I’ve been folding origami for years (even the rose in my profile pic)… If the pulling motion you just did was replicated with a sheet of paper, it would most likely rip. The key to most origami models is actually starting with more surface area than you need and then compressing it using precise folds. Whereas here, your legos are able to expand without breaking due to individual pieces spreading the tension evenly. It’s an incredible feature of these lego designs that I feel like many people are overlooking. I really enjoy your work! :)
@@p3rc1muz19u3 Thank you :) I’ve been folding for about 12 years now, but I’m always trying to get better. There’s a guy on UA-cam who is an expert at designing roses. I am so glad the author took their time to record playing with this piece. It happens way to often when a channel makes 20 min video of creating something cool and then there is like 3 seconds shot of the result at the end and that's it.
This is so cool for doing stop motion animations and reflecting “damage” to the buildings with the characters. Bonus points for being reset-able for the next take or the next scene! Amazing!

As soon as you stretched it out, my brain said "marshlands". Make it with differing shades of darker green, add some grass pieces, bones, make some patches of dark murky water to put in the holes, and you've got the dead marshes from lord of the rings.

Hi Jeff, rarely I've commented below a UA-cam video, even though I'm an addicted "video consumer". I find your creations truly inspiring and especially this, as it shows how different from usual a human mind is able to work and think. That teaches a lot. It's also noticeable how clear your creations reflect your way to think beyond the normal boundaries.
