The 2024 US Open main draw runs from August 26 - September 8 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 144th time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. M. Andreeva was many experts picks to beat Iga in the 4th rd. especially after a close match in Cincy. But Mira is still young and consistent results may not be there for a while still.

@@BOZ_11 Many of the tennis podcasts had Mira as a popular dark horse pick. Most notably Roddick and Jon Wertheim on their podcast had Mira upsetting Iga.
@@BOZ_11 Iga always loses in GS early outside of french open so people were just trying to figure out who was going to do it this time and after a close match at Cincy, Mirra was the best bet.
I am never a fan of Mirra, she is overhyped. I like Ashlyn tennis. Hope she will go far in the tournament.

Mirra is a bit overrated right now. She's very crafty, but I've seen a number of matches where she just gets outhit. She got bullied today. She's gonna have to hit the ball harder to win a grand slam. Right now she relies heavily on forced errors
Well to be fair, she is still quite young, and her height is what it is. She isn't naturally gifted with long levers like Ash here. Considering her age, I would say Mirra has outperformed everyone else her age. What more would you expect at this point in her career?
