Andreescu's is not really a trick shot. She obviously did not intend to produce that result. I had one of those shots too a few days ago. I played a drop volley and actually intended to put back spin on the ball, but still I couldn't say that I intended to have the ball spin back over the net. When it's unintended, it should be called a lucky shot rather than a trick shot.
The Musetti disrespect is crazy bye US Open. Undoubtedly that was the point of the tournament and even arguably the point of the year so far. (And i genuinely loved Muchovas trick shot too)
the trick shot us mere mortals have the best chance of pulling off is the around-the-netpost below-the-net level shot. I've hit a few of them in my time and it is always a thrill.
oh come on, we're just having fun here, the pulled hard to the side around the net post service return winner painting the back corner, fine, i'll take it in the video.
If Musetti is a trickshot then Medvedev is a trickshot too... He went around the net with a beautiful and very powerful return... It's definitely a trickshot.
to me the mens final was - ten , 15 shot rallies (most backhand cross court to backhand ) just like a practice session. or the bad 'ole days of blooper ball
Musetti should definitely be number one or number two. Not number 8. Medvedevs, Zvereves and Sheltons was no where near the skill of musetti. Not only was musettis an increadible get that shouldn't be possible, but it was under the net in height
Alcaraz won 2/4 grand slams this year. Pretty sure he doesn't need coaching from the comments section of youtube. Winning matches =/= 'success' in the world of elite sports either. The dude makes far more money from being the person everyone wants to go and see with sponsorship deals and external events precisely because he does trick/flashy shots every match, than he'll ever make from winning tournaments.
The tweener is no longer a remarkable shot...everybody plays it. It does not belong in a compilation with the forehand drives of Shelton, Zverez and Medvedev, as shown here. Muchover had a lot of luck with # 1.
Everybody plays it but how many comes back as a winner? It's actually quite rare. It's like shooting basketball from the half court. Everybody can shoot the ball from there. But when the ball actually goes through the hoop, it's always sports center material.
@@MrPiotrV it is a bit of a tricky issue though, if there is more demand by tv audiences for men's matches instead of women's matches, which I think is true, should the prize money reflect that, or, should we enforce equality between the men and the women's prizes regardless of the level of viewer demand levels? I don't know what the correct answer is, and I think it is a complicated issue.
@@sliceserve234 no, it isn't tricky at all. people come up with all sorts of bizarre justifications to keep women down. i've never seen anyone say that lighter weight classes in fighting should get paid less, for example, since they're weaker than the heavier classes or that sprinters should get paid less since their race only lasts 10 seconds, an argument people make about women's matches being shorter, etc. It's ONLY ever when it comes to women. funny how that works. i don't know the numbers for this year but last years us open finals had more viewers for women than for men. now I wanna see you defend women getting paid more :) it's funny how people ONLY come up with these bizarre arguments when it's to put women down.
Ok, that last play was genuinely the highest degree of difficulty. Hat is off.
That Zverev shot could be in the running for greatest ever: round the net post at full stretch to land literally on the corner of the court. Insane.
totally agree
Muchova’s was 100% the ultimate shot of the Open. But I would say Zverev’s was 2nd and Musetti was 3rd’s and Andreescu #4
A lot of luck with #1. Those forehand drives from the back of the court required consummate skill.
@@davidviner5783 Muchova IS the queen of skill

That musseti around the net point was mind blowing and the slow mo shot from Zverev banana shot is priceless!
Muchova

There’s no way Musetti’s should be 8
I think his shot was better than Zverev's. He had no right to return that shot, let alone win that point.
This was one of the shots of the decade
So true. All the ladies ones were accidents too. Sad.
@@matthewtarver2221 That's a dumb thing to say.
Muchova behind the back save + winner is the #1 shot of the tournament . 😉

Zverv on 5 is crazy
wrong, Nadal has has hit this shot 1000 times
Muchova's best improv shot, Zverev's best shot overall tho
Muchova ate with that shot ngl
Always such a beauty return from Medvedev
Sasha shot #5? Are you kidding me?
How is Medvedev’s return winner a trick shot 😂

Yep. Boring final... yawn
Don''t think admin knows what a trick shot is 😂
Thanks...
Muchova did WHAT???
The higher Shelton and Medvedev points are both pretty overrated. Musetti at 8 is a crime, at least top 3
Biggest joke to see Zverev's unbelievable point on 5.. absolutely greatest shot of the tournament
WTA: two shanks and an overhead
ATP: ....
Zverev el mejor punto
Where is Qinwen Zheng??? Her shot was more tricky IMO
Here for Shelton, of course!
Musetti 1 andrescu 2 we are done
Kyrgios absence a big loss on this subject.. he is supreme

Fils of France is one fine ahh man
So the women highlights are just pure luck...
Not one of these is a trick shot
Note. Trick and/or flashy shots win points, not matches. Cc alcaraz
Yea, I'm hoping K. Muchova can stay on court for even 2 seasons and develop ' match toughness'. She's so fun. even serve / vollys.

Zverev's shot is literally out 😂😂
literally wasnt though😂
No it was in. Caught the line
Half a ball hit the line mate
If you mean by "literally out" actually in then yes I agree with you.
