she is a master in the interpretation of all classical pieces in my opinion.. I swear she could even be possessed by each of the composers when ever she plays their pieces.. You are an amazing pianist!!!!
For me, she is the best pianist I have ever heard....someone eventually comes along and its just a perfect fit....I wish I could pinpoint my love for her playing, all I can say is it just sounds "right".....BEAUTIFUL
I've heard so many versions of this piece where the performer rushes through it and plays it a bit too fast, I absolutely love this rendition, she takes her time and really brings out the emotion and beauty of it.
I honestly thought she couldnt pull this piece off, given I had seen her play really fast and virtuosic before. However this truly captures the somber nature of the piece. I love it! I feel embarrassed that I felt otherwise
op 55 was absolutely mesmerizing! At first I thought the tempo was slower than I am used to hearing however the second section drew a sharp contrast making the complete interpretation yours and yours only .. wonderful Mrs Lisistsa!!
Heard her play this 2 months ago at Koerner Hall. My ears are still ringing since that day. She was truly an incredible pianist. Also got to meet her and take a pic with her after. I love how she still reaches out to her fans no matter how busy her life is. True humility and she is truly INSPIRING! K
Such a beautiful piece, so emotional to the point of tears, and played so beautifully and differently than others by Valentina Lisitsa! My favourite interpretation.
No pianist could ever top this. Valentina will always be the greatest. She's literally one with the piano. If she with the piano isn't the voice of god then I don't know what is.
Très belle partition, jouée de façon magnifique. La prise de vue est sublime comme l'interprète. Je ne cesse d'admirer votre talent. Merci Valentina, continuez à nous faire rêver.
Chopin wrote so many wonderful pieces. Is it any wonder that he is so loved by musicians around the world. The one ingredient that brings his music to life is an artist at the keyboard and you are simply one of the best! Congratulations on your dedication and devotion to the classics!....Will
I'd love for you to play nothing but Chopin's nocturnes and preludes for 6 months, with no live stream, instant messaging or other distractions. You are so gifted.
Valentina, you have a divine talent. At some time in your life you have definitely been touched by an Angel. Love the purple dress and the gentle ringlets in your hair
Of all the Chopin interpretations I ever heared -and i heared a lot-, Valentina's are the ones played with more feeling, but a fantastic technique. We love you, Valentina! I told my piano teacher about you and when she saw your videos she said "If I'm a good teacher, I'm sure you'll play like her someday and my work will be done."
In the top 3 pianist of this genre...she is ... absolutely prestigious technique...she pockets most..trills, rubatos, and accuracy with fast fast temp she is the best..also strong controlled emotion is her aura ...a great smile ..I also think there is this competitiveness about her....these are my opinions of Valintina Lisitsa.
Beautiful, like a dream. I loved your interpretation, it's incredible! By the way, the sound of that piano,...wow! I love my Schimmel but I would like to have a Bösendorfer someday.
even at 35 seconds you know there's something very special going on and you're in for a transcending experience (not that you won't know that from the first notes of a Valentina concert!)
These compositions, this avant style, the works of cage, schoenberg, boulez, etc. They did what musicians had been struggling to do for centuries, in that they completely abolished all set constructs of what could be considered music. Now, we, the generation of musicians that survived this, can use whatever style we want to compose. That in itself makes those men geniuses.
Awesome. I see that you have it as your profile picture. Also, I met her in Portland last December and I stayed until the hall cleared out so I got to talk with her for about 5 mins. (one of the best 5 minutes of my life) I asked her a few questions and got my picture with her and got my Royal Albert Hall DVD signed. My profile pic is also of Lisitsa and I.
Chère Valentina, venez à Berlin! Malheureusement je n'ai que des relations concernant le théâtre.... Mais je suis sûre que vous ayez un auditoire encharmé, enthousiasmé!
I like to think that, we will have a great composer, or many like that in our time. In that, we will get passed the super-dissonant (but still charming!) ways of fennesey and others, and learn to cultivate both modernism and romanticism in our compositions. It may be a few years, but I think that we shall have some great composers in our time.
I hope you're right but the thing i observe is that there is a same chaotic movement in music that we have in all kind of arts... The things that beacame important are concepts, maths and so on which have no links whith feelings an emotions...
Sorry, I'm a spanish speaker and I don't know how to translate it exactly. Anyway, it would be when some basses are shifted backwards in tempo, so the bass actually sounds before the corresponding note in the singing line. I like this resource, but I think it is rather overused here...it kind of annoy me a little bit :)
I beg your pardon , Mrs. Lisitsa have you in program to play Saint Saens 5th piano concerto , Dvorak piano concerto or Tchajkowksy 2nd piano concerto ? I'd be very very curious to listen to you playing these scores. Wonderful piano concertos played by a fantastic pianist .
Dear Val ,, I used to have a Library of your magnificent works, starting from your incredible Rachmaninoff's Etude Tableaux #6 Op 39 ( Little Red riding Hood), this was my first time to know you (it was almost a shock to me to see a teen playing such a difficult piece with this incredible brilliancy), and from there on, I started to follow you, in every work you'd uploaded on UA-cam, recorded all your interviews and any news I could get, so that I became almost Obsessed by you ,, Of course I have a library of piano works for most of the great works by the greatest pianists of the twentieth Centaury ( of course as much as I could collect),, But you.. Your collection to me is the most precious one (I made three Back-up copies of it, for fearing of losing it by mistake), and by the way I sent you many comments, on several occasions (but unfortunately I didn't get any response from your side - I'm not offended, because I know you're heavily loaded with hundreds of comments and messages from fans daily), but after all I'm very glad that you're still with us, and uploading every now and then some of your treasures ... Thank you Val, for being with us always, and thank you for your generosity and kindness.
Valentina loves always art!!!!!!! Valentina is beautiful because she believe in emotions.
she is a master in the interpretation of all classical pieces in my opinion.. I swear she could even be possessed by each of the composers when ever she plays their pieces.. You are an amazing pianist!!!!
I personally believe that she must be possessed by two (I'm positively sure .!), Rachmaninoff & Liszt.
Lol i thought she was possessed by Beethoven..i guess its all of them then xD
Rubestein does this piece better imo, but yeah she is awesome in every piece she plays
I feel exactly the same way I have always said this, she is THE master of interpretation
@@samynohff Liszt for sure !
For me, she is the best pianist I have ever heard....someone eventually comes along and its just a perfect fit....I wish I could pinpoint my love for her playing, all I can say is it just sounds "right".....BEAUTIFUL

In my opinion, without a doubt, Valentina is the best performer of Chopin pieces.
I love your Chopin's performances. They inspire me to hard work every day.
op 55 was absolutely mesmerizing! At first I thought the tempo was slower than I am used to hearing however the second section drew a sharp contrast making the complete interpretation yours and yours only .. wonderful Mrs Lisistsa!!
Man, if you think about the compositional skills that go into this... it's so amazing.
Absolutely.. something I thought about.
Yes!
The ending of this Nocturne op 55 with ascending and descending runs on the piano..are choreographed perfect
Изумительное исполнение! Спасибо, дорогая Валентина Евгеньевна! Будьте здоровы и счастливы!
i always wake up to a nocturne by Chopin with a coffee :) amazing
You listen to nocturnes in the morning, fascinating.
I wouldn't say I'd listen to them as soon as I woke up, but I can also enjoy it in the morning.
Like it makes thing clearer.
an angel crosses the sky looks ... and listen ....
Incroyable performance…
Il n'y a pas de mots…
Les Anges sont avec vous Madame.
C'est vrai!
La DIVINA Valentina!!!

Jesus, who sits on the front row of such an intimate performance of two beautiful pieces like this just to be on their phone?
They might be recording it.
Toute la sensibilité de Chopin chez Valentina. Quel bonheur de l'écouter...
Thank you for this ,Chopin is my favorite and you as a pianist of course.
Oh, so beautiful!!!! This is my favorite nocturne by Chopin. This was very excellent playing! I also really like the venue!!!
chopin nocturnes are one more wonderful than the other! seriously!! Thank you Val for making my life to have a sense!

I've heard you play on youtube many times!! And it's marvelous music! And a marvelous intimiste place and play. Thank you
This is one of the most underrated Nocturnes. I'm so glad you played it! :)
Con anima.. Nice portrait of her skills... Her hands are like a calm ocean flow..
I really love you and your performances😍🥺👏❤
These are such beautiful pieces. You are so wonderful Valentina!
Valentina, you have a divine talent. At some time in your life you have definitely been touched by an Angel.
Love the purple dress and the gentle ringlets in your hair
This is really very good. I've been playing this for years and always rushed through the final page. A truly inspirational performance.
This girls knows how to milk it. Very inspirational phrasing. Been playing this for 50 years and I have heard something new. Spaciba
Grand playing. Mastered tonality with a tremendous subtlety. Valentina keeps on leaving her golden marks in the history of music.
Jesus, what a performance...

Wirklich unglaublich schön 😍
I remember learning the first nocturne! It was really fun and it was my first one!
4:20 What, I always do the hand gestures too when I'm doing that part. Crazy...
oh dear... my favorite Nocturne! Thank you Valentina for yet another great performance!
Beautiful sound! Would like to hear you playing Ballades:)
Great Interpretation !!!!!
Sublime Valentina Lisitsa !.............
Chopin, Lisitsa... The world is perfec
Beautiful heart touching music.....thanks !
Прекрасно. Спасибо вам, Валентина!
And Chopin maximizing the polyphony of the piano!
Beautiful, like a dream. I loved your interpretation, it's incredible! By the way, the sound of that piano,...wow! I love my Schimmel but I would like to have a Bösendorfer someday.
Thank you for the beautiful music, Valia !!
I love you, Valentina, you're great!!
Amazing. Like if I wouldn't expecting it to be... Valentina never let me down!
even at 35 seconds you know there's something very special going on and you're in for a transcending experience (not that you won't know that from the first notes of a Valentina concert!)

Beautiful performance, Valentina! I love Chopin's Nocturnes. You are very talented! :D
You And Chopin.....🥰🌹🌹🌹
Loved the 15 1 nocturne.. But let me be honest about the other, both my personal taste and all great recordings I've listened to are at walking pace..
Valentina channeling Chopin.
AHH! I'm so jealous you got to see that! It wasn't in the budget for me this time, but next time for sure. Nuts to rent!
Wonderfull!

Sublime artista che tifa estasiare in ogni passaggio.
She is the ultimate pianist. I have yet to see a piece she performs that I don't love.
I like the syncopic accentuation on the left hand (:
fantastica.
Chère Valentina, venez à Berlin! Malheureusement je n'ai que des relations concernant le théâtre.... Mais je suis sûre que vous ayez un auditoire encharmé, enthousiasmé!
She would be a wonderful harpist too. I think it by her phrasing. :)
Preuve que virtuosité ne rime pas forcément avec précipitation. Emouvante interprétation !
sublime...
Hypnotizing
Can't sleep tonight? Search chopin op 55 wait a sec then... You made it.
我听过节奏最迷人 也是最神经质的Op 55 非常独特!
Great!!
Now I feel soooo sorry that I didn't realize eralier that you're gonna be in Switzerland :(
Sublime

bass players usually also like to point out that they prefer to be the laid back one, relative to the leading melody ;-)
Incredible performance *__*
Please come here to play for my birthday! *____*
Talentosa e linda... movimentos leves e sutis
You're my only idol .... I hope to be like you! I love you!
She's not a pianist. She's an artist.
A pianist *is* an artist
I beg your pardon , Mrs. Lisitsa have you in program to play
Saint Saens 5th piano concerto , Dvorak piano concerto or Tchajkowksy 2nd piano concerto ? I'd be very very curious to listen to you playing these scores. Wonderful piano concertos played by a fantastic pianist .
The recording volume is quite low
Amazing so soft :3
Bravo as usual! Any heads up for this year in coming to Mexico?
In fast part, best voice-leading I've heard so far. But beginning a bit too sleepy for me.
It is exactly that difference that makes it so special. The slowness of the first parts make the middle so dramatic.
Yeah she must be a really slow walker.
