There’s a lot less room on my caddy, thanks for the video though. Luckily my alternator seized on an industrial estate near a parts supplier so I got a new one after a 5 minute walk. Bloody Chinese puzzle trying to get it out after it’s loose!!
Nice one, thanks very much for this ....looks a smilar job i've to do on my 2015 6J/6P ibiza 1.4 3 pot engine - not much out there on the EA 288 1.4 TDI CR engine. Seems like the supplied alternators by Bosch & Valeo are crap - mine's a Bosch made in hungary & the voltage regulator is dying - somewhat better than the pulley's falling off !

You don’t pull the spacers in b4 fitting, they are pulled in when you mount it so it’s easier to fit.
How is the alternator pulley off already mate
they work their self off the become loose over time and need changing
