You cut the part I wanted to see. I can't get that battery bracket back to it's space. There is not enough space for my hands, so I was wondering is there an easy way. Probably not I guess.

You used the OEM plastic protector? I had Bilsteins and they have a much simpler one to the OEM ones style cage. Was thinking of taking off the Bil's ones and swapping over for the OEM beefier looking ones ( stone protection or something?) but its not a good close fit like they are respective to each. I guess on the shocks you had they didn't appear to come with much of a plastic protector at the top though. Has a part no that looks like 5Q0513269G however no good pics that match that the part is but its like that plastic shround or surround above the shock....

Need to see what part of that goes on the pedal as its that that has broken. Only half the information here. Also you removed some of the ducting, that information would help too...

Good video, thanks, there's a sneak 'fix' if the rose survives but pops off, some guy sells a plastic panel £10 on the eebayuk to hold it on but it can still move up slightly and sustain damage, this is by far the best option long term if you have £100, you must bleed it after. 🙂

do you have to disconnect anything from inside the car driver side?

You don’t pull the spacers in b4 fitting, they are pulled in when you mount it so it’s easier to fit.

Thanks m8. Have the exact same colour car but mine has the dreaded airbox rattle, and to change the worn rubber grommets you have to remove the battery tray, diesel filter, air pipe which is ridiculous for 3 bits of rubbers costing a fiver!

Surely to god, the manufacturers could've come up with a more convenient system for holding a battery in place? I mean, a fucking Allen key down in the dungeon of the car, and you have to remove all that stuff to get access? Fuck-off. They design a great* car but can't design a simple release system? Shite. Nice one, thanks very much for this ....looks a smilar job i've to do on my 2015 6J/6P ibiza 1.4 3 pot engine - not much out there on the EA 288 1.4 TDI CR engine. Seems like the supplied alternators by Bosch & Valeo are crap - mine's a Bosch made in hungary & the voltage regulator is dying - somewhat better than the pulley's falling off !
