The D100 Dungeon World Builder adds to the D100 Dungeon game a way to create and explore new and fascinating worlds. Your adventurer will travel the lands and interact with towns and cities, and explore a vast wilderness in search of adventure. They will find quests and side quests and may have events sprung on them as they explore.

I don't have the game nor have I been able to play any sort of game like this for decades, but I have gotten that ancient "old-school" feeling of excitement building the more I watch... when I can, I am ordering these books!

@mk games Hi Martin. As a solo boardgames of >25 years, I think D100 Dungeon is quite literally, the best game I've ever played. I plug it in the comments all over the board game community. The rules are well written too. One quick rules question I'd be grateful for an answer to.
When needing to pass a test roll, are you "allowed" to drink a potion/brew/elixir AFTER you roll so as not to waste it. For example, getting a +3 bonus to a roll where you need 31 or under, is no good if you roll say 90, so if you drink before the roll, then you will have wasted the drink in this example, whereas if you need 31 and roll 34 you will pass.
If you can drink it after you know it will get you the pass, seems a little unrealistic. Conversely, if you drink it beforehand, it will be wasted in the example I've given. These drinks are hard to come by and it's discouraging to use them for no benefit.
Ok, just off to get my D100 fix with Prince Willem, the Human Paladin!

Drinking a potion after making the test isn't something I had intended for the rules. I think I have offered this answer before to a player and suggested its something they could consider doing if that makes them enjoy the game more (I am all about house ruling to maximize enjoyment out of a game). I play it that the potion must be drunk before the test and this is definitely what I had in mind in the design.
@@MKGAMES thanks for such a swift reply. I agree that taking it before, whether you end up needing it or not, is the "right" way. In fact, some of the rules say e.g. add +whatever to your next d100 roll. I'm just getting back into playing the game after a long time not playing anything much and it has so much to offer. I just discovered a channel called "D100 Superfan" and the videos there give some excellent "deep dives" in how to play and enjoy the game even more. Thanks again.

I bought the softcover and pdf this morning on Drivethru... This looks incredibly interesting... So far, I’ve only used the base set and gone through the first 5 Dungeon Trainings which took months. It’s going to be a while until I actually play this one (World Builder) as I’m going through the books in order...
Correction, I’m going to begin learning this expansion immediately so I can run it concurrently with my old campaign!
I thought the World Building game might be complicated to play but the manual provides step-by-step instructions! You can’t go wrong!

It's best to generate the map as you go.

Yes, the books when ordered will be printed by your closest printers. If you're in the UK this will be printed and dispatched in the UK. You can view Drivethrurpg in £ (sterling) there is a drop down menu at the bottom of the main page to change currency (it's on the right next to the language drop down menu).
