Building the map conjures up vibes of custom galaxy building in Traveller RPG--lots of tables to roll on as you proceedurally build out lots of connected star systems.
Thanks to your reviews, and Martin Knight's videos, I finally took the plunge into d100 Dungeon. I ordered the physical and pdf copies of the core book, the Adventurers guide, and the World Builder books. I've started mapping using the pdfs while waiting for the physical books to arrive. Game on!
Fascinating! I would have loved this especially as a kid during the years I didn't have anyone to play DnD and ADnD with. I find these solo or GMless systems really interesting.
Thank you very much for this review!! I never played D100 but after seeing your video, I want to give it a try! In another matter, have you ever played Ironsworn? If so, how do you compare it from D100? I've played 4 against darkness a lot but the campaign became "redundant" (if its a word!) at some point! Maybe D100 give us some backstory and some narrative campaign with this new expansion? I think its what you suggested, but I'm wondering at which point your story VS the story suggested by the author become possible? In your Scarlett Heroes campaign you build your own stories but with this, it seem its already framed...I would like your opinion after a few play! haha! The first few games are always the best!
ive been looking for a ruleset or add on that allows me to generate various scales of locations - is this the best one youve found or are there others?
Hi, I have a question: I've started playing d100 dungeon a week ago. Not too much time, I'm still on my first quest, but I definitely like it very much, I think I have clear the basic rules even though I still go through the pdf while playing because I remember most of them but I'm still reviewing them. I also bought the world builder exp but I still haven't read it because I wanted to be good at basic rules before going to that expansion
I was just asking a week ago if something like this existed for 4AD and it doesn’t look like there was anything official. This looks amazing though and I might have to finally give D100 a chance.
I agree with you that having a page with 2 columns of text would help. I had the same impression with book 1. I think the reason that columns are not used it's just because the designer is not using them in Adobe. I don't think it's a issue with drivethrurpg. Lulu & drivethru takes a pdf columns or not.
The place names (Plains of Terror, Tundra of Coldness) really give me a Dwarf Fortress vibe
This looks so cool! And I’d never heard of this! I’m going to order book 1 to get my toe in the water- I love the entire idea of it!

Absolutely agree on columns layout. It would be should much better on the eyes!
Finally, Martin connected the Barbarian Prince with the dungeon crawl mechanism. I love random hex exploration games)

Man this looks sick
thank you!
Thanks for mentioning the similarities with Journey to the Overland. I'm going to have to take a look at this one further.

Hey, Nice explanation, really digging this. You said there’s also a pdf, right? Where would I be able to get it?

I'm so excited for this! Do you think the hardback version will hold up to all the page turning more than the softback? It sure looks cool

Has anyone ever mentioned how unintentionally ASMR some of your videos are? This one is.
Basic question; is this just a solo RPG or can it be played as part of a group?
