- Today's video is so much more than just a clean with me. First we clean, then we do some cooking, guests arrive for turkey hunting, we do some fishing, Peter vlogs for us with his Go Pro Hero (such great video quality), I sew and we attend a wedding. It was such a good few days. Homemaking in the country is never dull.
CLEAN WITH ME As We Get Ready For Guests {and so so much more}

I share lots of day in the life family and mom vlogs. Today it's a little bit of everything around the house and on the go. Homemaking is best done with a happy heart.
Why Did I Wait So Long? Homemaker Day in the Life
Fudge Sundae Pie
1 c. evaporated milk
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. marshmallows (mini or large)
1/4 tsp. salt
vanilla wafers
1 qt. vanilla ice cream
pecans
Combine first four ingredients in medium saucepan and cook over med heat until everything is melted and thick. Cool. Line deep pie plate with vanilla wafers, then a layer of ice cream and fudge. Then repeat icecream and fudge again. Top with pecans and sprinkles. Freeze. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before ready to eat so it can soften just a bit to cut it. This was very good and I will definitely make the fudge again and simply pour it over ice cream and add toppings. It would be much easier than this. However, the presentation of this ice cream pie is over the top.

Here I'll share vlogs about all these things, what I'm doing that works and what I've tried but didn't work. I hope to encourage you in your journey through motherhood, homeschooling, learning to cook, and growing in your faith through it all.

Thank you Jennifer! So I hear that Christmas in July will be here before we know it! It’s all good. It’s your home - you do you and that’s why we 🥰 You are very much like us- very honest, a little forgetful and that’s only because you have a lot on your plate, and chock full of love. Merry Christmas! 🎄 Happy Fourth of July 🎉😂
Yes! Thank you! Happy all the holidays to you too.
Y'all looked sharp for the wedding. Glad it was a beautiful day! I had to get rid of all of my house plants when I got a new cat. She would eat the plants and get sick. I did donate them to a local florist who was going to use my plants to help folks who needed an arrangement, but didn't have the money to purchase them. That made me feel better. I enjoyed this video very much! You really got a lot of cleaning done.😀
I love that idea; I’ve. Ever heard of a greenhouse helping out like that.
@@acountrylife It was a local florist and it truly blessed me. I had some very nice pots and it felt good that she could use those, as well.
"I still see a couple Christmas decorations..." That's exactly why you are my favorite UA-camr! :-)
Orchids take persistence and patients, but they are definitely worth it. That's what we're sending my mom this year. Wishing you a joyful & relaxing Mother's Day
You know those rogue Christmas decorations are still up. I haven’t taken the time to take them down yet.
You haven't had the time to deal with them , you've been making awesome memories for your children. I like to think of it as planning ahead :-)
I love cleaning videos!❤ just push that part of the rug under the couch. Looks great!
Evaporated milk when using as a replacement for whole milk to equal 1 cup, use 1/2 evaporated milk and 1/2 cup water. You have such a beautiful property.
That's what my aunt always told me, and she was a great cook & baker. Evaporated milk is heavier, I believe.
😂 I just packed the last of my Christmas away yesterday! I haven't been able to finish it do to a foot injury.. but we bought new end tables this weekend and got the 20 year old ones out I loved them but they are just too big! So out either the old and in with the new!!! I also had Easter stuff out haha
Glad to hear the foot injury is healing up. I get it. I’ll find a random holiday decoration months later and think 🤔 how did I miss that?
I dilute my left over evaporated milk with water, at least 1-1 but if I need to I will even add a bit more water to have amount I need. I use this any time I need milk in any recipe. I have even add some diluted evaporated milk to my regular milk when I wanted to make sure I had enough milk for breakfast. Just be sure to add it the night before so it’s good and cold, I have done this for years and my kids never knew the difference! Just add your water to it and taste it, add water until the evaporated milk taste goes away and it just tastes like milk. Remember it’s just milk with the water removed so you are just adding it back!
Good morning all happy Tuesday morning and I loved your vlogs and you all amazing Supporter
Jennifer wonderful video I love watching you Make food and bake and The chickens are adorable And doing your cleaning and everything you do for Beautiful God bless 🙏🏻✝️☮️📿❤️🐥🌺💝🍀💗💙💜🌹
Thank you so much!
fun times fishing
Thanks for motivation and sharing some techniques ❤
Enjoyed you all, yummy meals .😊❤🙏
Ms. Ruby
Thank you 😋
I love your videos! One of our favorite variations of the Food stand sandwiches is to use roast beef with Provolone cheese. SO GOOD! Also, I never have Dijon mustard on hand, so I use spicy brown mustard instead, and it works great!! 😋
Your home is so lovely! I love all of the wood and custom work. It’s so beautiful! We have vaulted ceilings of tongue and groove cedar (I think it’s cedar😬). I think wood makes a home feel so homey. 🤎
I love the wood too. Your ceiling sounds pretty.
The little corner with the plants is so cute! I’ve always managed to kill every plant/flower I’ve had! They seem to die when they see me coming lol… I am so impressed by everything you do. May your week be filled with joy! 🌸
Big Canadian congrats !!! Wishing them many many years of love together! Félicitation!!
Bonjour. From where in Canada?
@@marykoufalis7666 that doesn't matter.
Have you ever made Amish Cinnamon quick bread? Delicious.
Your videos are a favorite. But I was unsure I wanted to watch someone clean! Glad I got past the title and of course, I watched start to finish.
If it’s like Amish friendship bread then yes a long time ago.
The 3 green beans on Peters plate, lol that was so funny! The Ice cream pie looked so delicious. And I love your home. The wood on the Walls is what my Grandparents entire inside looked just like yours. And I have some of my best memories in their home.
Thanks so much! 😊
Hi Jennifer and sweet family! Your house looks beautiful and we all have missed a spot of dusting at one time or another.
You might need to cut the evaporated milk with a little water since it’s a thicker consistency than milk.
I do use evaporated milk but I add water to make gravy, but the evaporated milk makes a really nice creamy gravy.
Too bad Peter didn’t find his turkey.
Everyone looked so spiffy for the wedding.
Hope everyone has a blessed night and week!
will try the ice cube trick mine isn't looking great !!
Love your home, so nice and tidy❤❤❤❤
Don't feel bad about Christmas stuff still around. I broke my back in January and 2 days ago I was able to climb a ladder and clean the snow spray off the windows above my entry. Also, the last bin finally went down to the basement. Life happens and the time goes by so fast. 😊
Glad to hear you are on the mend. That’s a serious injury to recover from. And yes, at that point Christmas decor is the last thing on your mind.
I also have been waiting for the Fudge Sundae Pie. 😋
Enjoyed the video Jennifer. Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up. Take care.
My daughter works for a milk processing plant in the office doing schedules, programming and USDA requirements, she has told me that if you substitute evap for regular milk you should add 1/2 to 3/4 cups of water per cup of evap.
Otherwise it's to thick and can make baked goods heavy and not rise correctly.
It's called evaporated milk because a little of half the water has been cooked out of it before being put into cans and processed.
Who got married Jennifer? Your homestead is beautiful ❤🙏🇮🇪
Our family friends’ daughter. Thanks.
My daughter's birthday is June 7th, too. Mine is June 24. Have a good one. Love ❤️
I know this may not be the solution you want, but for the rug, just slide it a touch more under the couch. Then you won't see it buckle.
I’ve been doing that, but the couch keeps moving even though I have rubber grippers under the feet. Then when someone pushes the couch back it bunches the rug. I’m forever bending over, lifting the leg of the couch and shoving the rug under. 😫
@acountrylife when our kids would plop down, our couch would move as well. We wedged a 2X4 betweenthe couch and wall. It stopped the couch from traveling all over the place. Because no matter what, the kids were not going to just sit down. 🤣😜🤦♀️
I was walking around the neighborhood this morning picking up ground coffee when I found myself thinking " hmm what is jennyfer up to today,". I would have loved to have a cup of coffee with you. Thank you for always being there
Love that! Morning coffee would be fun.
Cute chicks! I think your dark gray one is a roo. 😉
I think so too!
Oh, I loved seeing the excitement over the ice cream pie. We've always felt that way too and also had the same struggle cutting it. I never noticed the cinnamon muffins recipe but seeing you make it makes me wonder if it is similar to the French Breakfast Puffs from the old Betty Crocker cookbook. Mom didn't make them very often (I don't either) because of the extra fuss dipping and sugaring them after baking. But delicious and such a treat. Thank you for the good tip about the evaporated milk. Glad the weather was better for the wedding but I bet the newlyweds never even noticed it in their happiness.
Yes, I’ve seen the muffins with many names and French Puffs is one of them.
Hi Jen, I use a candle warmer to make my fire starters, less mess. I just put my old candle in the warmer till it melts and dip my makeup remover pads in the melted wax till all the wax is gone then throw the candle container away. God bless
God bless
Your such a good plant person my plants indoors die you are so lucky you can fish on your land do you still need licenses then? We have pokes and haven’t used them yet..
Yes, we still need a license to fish on our own land.
"Company's coming" is the best motivation for cleaning! Lol. Would love to see your whole house (if you're comfortable doing so). 😊
Hi Jennifer. Your house looked beautiful--love all the wood. Glad the weather was fine for the wedding-everyone looked their Sunday Best (and the food looked good too)! You asked about title suggestions, I think "Spend the Day with Me" covers a variety of tasks and topics. Hugs.
I like that title.
Next time mix half evaporated milk and half water. I use this all the time.
Thanks great video, if I sub with evaporated milk I use half milk half water and it works for me. Aloha from Kapolei HI
That’s what I should’ve done….next time.
Thanks Jennifer. Rained a lot all over Texas, I’m high up in the hill country. My youngest of 3 granddaughters, Lucy turns 2 June 7th. Hoping both you & Lucy have a happy birthday.🕯️
Happy early birthday to Lucy; it's always fun to add birthday buddies to my growing list.
Jennifer when you said you computer work done does that mean Emails and phone calls and fliming instead of editing just curious ❤
Computer work for me includes emailing with brands, printing labels and packing cookbooks, editing, responding to comments and more.
I bet responding to comments is very time consuming. We certainly appreciate it ;-)
Have they gotten any turkeys yet?
No, it’s been a slow turkey year.
Was it Nicks wedding Jennifer?
No, a family friend.
🤍
I wonder if I could make them muffins sugar-free. I'm a type 2 diebtic. I love sweets but can't eat them. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Switch to almond flour and use stevia instead of regular sugar. I make them that way and they come out pretty good.
@@isabelpimentel1415 thanks
Thanks for sharing that with Becky.
Hi Jennifer, you pronounced Kalankohe kal- an ko-ee.
Thanks. I think last time I tried to say you gave me the correct pronunciation. I need to commit it to memory.
PETER!! cover your ears i the wind!!!
Shortening is so unhealthy
But it sure makes my pound cake good....
