Hey Daniel if the graders see something that you DIDNT do they tell you or do they send it back to you? Thanks Russ Brown
Hey Daniel I have 150 wheat pennies all from the 40s and 50s that not many outside those parameters. I received them from a passing family member and I am trying to figure out if they have any value but I’m not doing well with figuring that out. I feel as if I’m doing an disservice to my deceased family member. Do you check coins for people? Or maybe some one who you could recommend? Thanks sir.
Exciting news! The inclusion of Rose number [598] beautifully symbolizes our collaborative efforts in this creative garden at CoinEra. Let's continue nurturing this shared space together! 🌹🌷🌼 Thank you for being an integral part of it! 😊💖
I'm a conservative grader and even I think that 1881-S MS64 dollar is prooflike. I wonder if PCGS is tightening up its grading because CACG is breathing down its neck? You should still be able to get a little extra for that coin. I know, that in coin auctions, such a coin will sell for a bit more if it is at least semi-prooflike.
I agree. Might be worthy of submitting it to CAC?
I've been binge-watching your videos to learn everything I can about the hobby, and it's been very informative.
Thank you.
Daniel another top level video class, thanks again, Tony
Thanks for sharing Daniel ! Nice flip. Wished some of those would have come back as thought. I know you do as well. Some exceed, some meet and some don't. We keep trying and just get better at what we do.
81s ms64. Agree with you darn close PL. great coins Daniel!!!
Hi Daniel, new subscriber here. Always enjoy your videos, I have learned so much. I have warmed up to ANACS, I am very happy with them
Love your videos. I'm definitely gonna make the drive down and check out your store in a few weeks.
I am new to collecting and enjoy the info and education you provide
New subscriber always watching your videos very helpful thank you❤
"It'd be a 30" mirror if sold by a certain seller on eBay...". 😂True enough, Daniel! 😉
The PL quality is certainly there on those two Morgans (esp the '81-S). I can see it!
Those are some very nice coins.
Daniel you have a great channel. Your efforts to teach us collectors about this hobby is commendable.
That 1881-S is dedinetly a PL. What is up with PCGS. I've been through the same thing with them.
Your right about a Morgan 81s,sent one to NGC,had mirrors and looked like at least a 64 PL and came back ms 63,I just shook my head and moved on,lol.
I've learned from this that I'm too conservative on morgan dollars. One grade low usually, except I agree that the XF-45 and AU-50 were a little backwards. The 1881 S mint I had at a really solid 65. When you showed it the second time on the desk though it looked better. Quite the blazer. Great eye appeal. I can see why it got the grade. I think they robbed you a bit on the buffalo. Come on, 64+ at least. Sharp struck, lustrous, not a lot of noticable marks. They wanted you to crack it out and send it back under their variety attribution tier is why they dinged you. 😂
Jokes aside, nice coins all around. Really enjoyed this one. Thanks for sharing with us!
Super nice coins, Daniel. Thanks for letting us see them.
Not to shabby, at least you made a little profit. I was expecting you to say the 66 was a 67+. Oh well, maybe next time. Thanks for sharing!
Let's talk about that 14-D in more detail.
Nice submission Daniel. I found my 1909 S VDB 1c in a jar of pennies I bought a garage sale. It graded XF45. Love your videos
I’m shocked by the 81-S not getting a PL designation.
Looking forward to this
Thank you. I have learned a lot in a short time watching your videos. I recently pulled my coins out after about 40 years and taking an interest in them again.
This comment really made me happy. I hope you enjoy your collection again and possibly let it grow.
Thank you for your reply. I suspect we might be part of a family, the coin family 😄
@@dmc4936, yes we are part of the coin family. Have fun collecting!
There are quite few varieties out there that are hard to find and I have been looking for awhile now buffalo nickels can be hard to grade until you get to looking at a lot of them then it becomes easier
That had to be exhilarating coming across those 2 cents .. not expecting either... Just WOW !
Disappointing on the Morgan's not getting PL / * .. the 1881-S was definitely deserving. I can see the A.K. description now.."MS68-DMPL 30" Black & White Mirrors" 😆 😆😅
Really enjoyed the video Daniel !!
The grader must have wanted to go home early that day.
Holders scratched like that already!!!!!😬😬😬
I sent some coins to anecs. My very first admission ever. I think im gonns be severally disappointed. One said i didn't ask for the verity but i did. It on the submission form. I guess i really didn't have a clue what to do even asking the gentleman who submitted for me.
Grading will always be subjective. You can place two coins next to each other where they look the same, yet there can be extreme differences in the realized grade. Perhaps each grading company can disclose the name of the grader so we can see who is more strict in grading than others who aren't as strict.
And another thing that 81 s is for sure proof like to me I can’t understand for the life of me some of the dmpl coins I see in PCGS holders are not dmpl coins then I see some PL coins look way worse then this 81 s with PL on slab so I am not a Morgan dollar expert in grading them but I can definitely see a PL when I see it I bet you 100 bucks if you crack that 81 s out send it to any other service it gets PL
I just told the Coin Geek, that every time I send in 10 or more they come back lower grades than I thought , I sent in two Morgan's same look as yours that didn't come back PL , you could see everything at 6-8 inches but nope nope, try sending in less than 10 coins at a time see if I'm just another lunatic. I'm sure it's the latter but doesn't hurt to try.
Grading can be hit or miss sometimes but those were all nice coins I do like the Morgan dollars even though I do not own one
the XF45 vs the AU50 ... I see the grades are correct. Just an opinion on that.
Lots of dealers will just write the varieties on the slab, coz the prices are ridiculous.
Some scratches on new plastic holders probably came from the plastic factory,
1896 s almost looks cleaned.
What is that “resource” you referred to?
PCGS authenticates coins even though the collector may loss $ on grading.
I just got my vouchers for this year, and I've been driving myself nuts for the past 3 days trying to decide on which 8 coins I'm gonna send. I did decide to include two buffalo nickels, (1913 type 1 & 1936), which will be my 1st attempt at submitting buffaloes. I'm totally racked with self-doubt when it comes to my grading ability on these, so using the vouchers is a good way to mitigate the cost if I fall short. Still learning, in other words! I *think* I have a solid 65 on the 1936 but... oh no, I just jinxed it, didn't I? 😂
Hey if you can post any photos or Tex to me I can look at those buffalo nickels also I have some that are xtra some that have previously been graded and cracked out some that are raw common dates if you are interested I have put together a buffalo nickel mint state set only needing 4 coins to be finished ok
Some very nice coins
I wonder if Daniel buys ancient coins if they’ve already been authenticated and graded by NGC. 🤔
Hi I just payed $199.95 for a1964 Ms 69 Uncirculated guaranteed to be 90% Silver. Was that a over priced??
Nice coins
PCGS ALL COINS WILL CLEANED DETAIL!
Uh, no, my video proves you wrong.
The 37 buffalo NGC does not even recognize that variety from what I can find out and read it’s not very popular or is it very major now I do see the 36 in fs-101 and fs-102 and from what I can find the 37 is like the 36 fs-102 it’s not a major variety and there are a lot 37 buffalos out there for cheap it’s not hard to get a ms66 for 60 bucks these days so be cautious buying low grade buffalos unless they are better dates or hard to find dates I am almost done with a mint state buffalo set only needing 4 more and have spent last 3 years building the set and looking at thousands of buffalos
You're correct, but it's a good way to ID an not-so-obvious doubled die. Good for education.
@@CoinHELPu yes it is most of those are only noticed by date and word Liberty being thick
Lot more marks & chatter on the 1896-S Morgan, why it’s a XF-45.
That's not how grading works for circulated coins, it's the amount of wear or lack thereof, marks determine the MS60 through MS70 grades, not EX45 verses AU50.
Do they send back a list and tell you why they graded the Coin. ???
Nope
I had a silver Quotter 1943 how mutch is this Quatter means money no mint mark
How can I send my coins to certificate so I know what I have
You will have to watch my videos on the subject and consult them through their website to learn how.
@@CoinHELPucan you send it to watch it
Sr I also had a 1948 silver no mint mark how mutch value that one could have. My grand father give me that after came from Vietnam I'm 61 now.
1948 what quarter, dime, half?
No mint mark is normal.
Nice coins. I don’t see the 1881-s Morgan you thought would be PL on your sight. Thanks.
It’s there unless it sold. You can use the search feature.
How much did is cost? Does Artificial Intelligence write yer intros? Well, certainly AI coin grading will be a success Danny Boy!
Being a troll will bring out the worst in me, if you pay attention to begin with and watch the entire video you would know what it cost me to have them graded. My name is Daniel and I am not a boy. Looks like we’re not going to get along.
