Great Scarier Reef is one of the dumbest movies they ever made. I am sick of masochists in Monster High movies being redeemed with the flip of a dime. Love Haunted and 13 Wishes.
I agree monster high really suffers when comes to having serious villains other than nefera toralei and whisp it may be a controversial opinion but I think moanica was a great villain that I could take seriously because she was never redeemed I also think that ever after high had a better villain because while they humanized the evil queen they didn’t excuse her actions
it's my headcannon that Andy Beast is related to jane boolittle, both purple jungle monsters with unknown origin. I've been mad for years about him not getting a doll or at least a webisode.
You know the one that made the least sense to me would have to be frights camera action that scene when Robecca found the vampires heart, because in Friday night frights they didn’t even see that while they were building her
Maybe robecca can live without her heart (she just can’t love) and finding her heart in fright camera action helped her remembering about her beloved dad in the next movie etc
Fright on was technically made to promote schools out and the first wave of dead tired, since those dolls came out around the same time, so it can be said that those are the fright on dolls
I’ve rewatched everything a few months ago and It blows my mind that 13 Wishes Lagoona was in a kids movie the way she was. Boo York could’ve been S tier for me but it kind of feels like 2 movies in 1. we could’ve had Cleo, her family and Deuce in one movie and Catty Noir and Seth in another movie. Cleo’s family is just a dumpster fire.

I loved welcome to monster high because I loved the animation and I actually didn't watch monster high when I was younger and idk why. So i didnt know how the story line would go or what characters were changed or replaced. I love monster high now and already seen all the movies now.

We have basically the same fav here. I just think the villains were kinda interesting, deeper and had their reasons for their actions. The characters grow through the movies and develop their personalities while fighting against the evil. The newer movies are just boring and the characters, we loved, became weird childlike personalities, that sucks.
Here’s my ranking (not including Ghouls Rule, Friday Night Frights, Boo York, Haunted, Frights Camera Action or Welcome to Monster High because I haven’t seen them in full): Great Scarrier Reef: 🖕 this movie. Lagoona was done dirty, the animation is horrendous, the designs are aggressively mid, and it felt the most like a toy commercial out of all the movies. The 2D segment’s weirdly well animated tho Electrified: The weaker of the G2 movies (and that fashion is TRASH), but honestly really fun if you want a good time. 2022 Live-Action Movie: Surprisingly better than I expected (the cast gave their all and the soundtrack was typical MH bangers), but still pretty low for how much it changed from the original series and its big logic leaps. Fright On!: not bad but feels like a string of webisodes that were strung together and called a movie. Escape from Skull Shores: S tier Lagoona/Gil development, B tier Beauty and the Beast homage, D tier villain. New Ghoul @ School: Now we’re talking! Very good intro to our main cast. Scaris: City of Frights: Honestly a really good character study of Clawdeen with a surprisingly in-depth take on imposter syndrome. Also, the guys' subplot basically being "we could lose our ghoulfriends to THE FRENCH; let's save them" is absolutely hysterical. 13 Wishes: Tons of worldbuilding, fun new characters (Twyla~), a darker tone and character development for Howleen. Really good. Why Do Ghouls Fall in Love?: This was what made me an MH fan. Draculaura and Clawd are couples goals, Valentine is a great villain (he’s basically Edward from Twilight if he wasn’t romanticized to heck and back), and it’s overall just really sweet and fun. Freaky Fusion: Arguably the best if you want worldbuilding lore. I found the hybrids subplot to be an interesting take on biracial kids’ experiences, the character relationships were incredibly dynamic, and having read Frankenstein in high school, I can certify that Sparky is a better adaptation of ol’ Victor than 1930s movie Victor. That ending hit me hard man
